I don't think the US has that problem. If some Mexican were to stop you on the streets "Hey, I make portrait of your girl' and then scams someone, that person may have a loaded Glock. 

 

So I really don't think US cities have the same problem as Europe does with the Romanians.

I'm not 'dissing' Trump. I'm merely pointing out that the obvious fact that Western European cities don't have a monopoly on scammers. They exist worldwide.

 

The problem of illegal immigration in Europe is a lot more difficult to solve, not least because the area that needs to be covered is far greater than the US border with Mexico.

That's what they said about the US illegal immigration problem.  But all it took was a change in the White House. 

 

The problem in Europe isn't the area.  It's lack of cajones.

 

Here's an admittedly oversimplified set of suggestions:  1) Stop giving them free stuff.  2) If they show up illegally, send them back (or somewhere they won't like- if their country won't have them).  3)  If they show up illegally or won't leave willingly, blacklist them from applying for entry to the EU for 10-20 years.  If they leave voluntarily, they can apply immediately and wait like the rest of the world.  4) Tattoo their right hand when you expel them so they can't change ID and sneak back in.  (of course, get their permission to tattoo them by giving them less harsh terms if they agree to a tattoo.  Like, "we'll feed you more than fish heads on the slow boat home if you sign this tattoo permission slip").

 

4B)  Fine the beejeezus out of any company that hires someone with a tattooed right hand.

Say what you will, I can tell you the Romanians would think twice to pull their sh£t in the US, because they know people may carry heat there.

 

The reason why they have a big mouth in France, Spain, Germany, UK, etc, is because they know nobody carries weapons, the legal penalties are a joke, and of course they have a group of 8 guys to back them up.

If the majority of the US public are in favour of increasing the chances of dying or being injured by firearms that's their prérogative. The overwhelming majority of European citizens favour the opposite.

Just to be clear, I'm a 2A fan, but I rarely (if ever) carry in public, open or concealed.  Mine stay at home or in the back of the MPV if I'm traveling out of state. 

 

And I think these guys are idiots. 

 

But I'm not nearly as afraid of them as I am of the cranked up meth addicts that we see so often nowadays.  (Try any local Walmart, for example) Especially in the Blue cities where they refuse to keep them locked up "because it's not their fault".

 

Since the EU excists, far right and later the kremlin joined into the "the EU is dead and collapsing".

 

It hasn't happened and will not happen in near furture either. Economy is quite stable, democratic systems (except Hungary and Slovakia) are working. Check and balance as it should be.

 

So no news, only the same warmed up old jealous statements.
