Was just about to order some rolling papers from one of my usual suppliers on shopee,  surprisingly they were all sold out.    Looking through the various listings on there and on lazada  it appears there is a distinct shortage.  What is going on?

further investigation reveals some wholesale suppliers are only  selling to licenced dispensaries!

I looked at the tobacco section at Friendship market in Pattaya a few days ago, they have hundreds on display. Don't think there's a shortage, but maybe shopee and lazada wants to stop selling them. Aren't there any dispensaries near you?

There are, but i liked the convenience of buying on line and there was money saving possibilities too.  Don't see why shopee or lazada should interfere, papers have never been restricted or illegal

Yep, most are gone from Shopee. One seller on Shopee who used to sell them very inexpensively now states on their Shopee profile to inquire with them directly and it seems like they can still provide products they used to sell in the past:

I had once bought cones with filters from that Shopee seller I pointed you to. They were very inexpensive. 100 for 150 Baht. Bros brand. Really strong. Natural colored. I see they still have them available on their Facebook page, along with a number of other local looking brands. If you want some of the old-school brands from 30 or 40 years ago, you can find them all on Amazon in the US and have them shipped in.

@thaigrower168 has mainly 3 Chinese brands. All good quality. Similarly priced. Hornet, Bros, and OHIS.

The mrs got me a couple of packs of Raw "kingsize with tips"  from the local ganja shop, but at 80 baht each, believe it or not, they are pricing themselves out of the equation. 

Think I will try this "Massa" outfit    they have an offer on  32 packs for 600 baht  and free postage  should keep me going for a few months

I pay 40b for the same. 

 

All the cones I've found on Lazada suck, they don't burn well.

I just throw 500 in my Amazon cart every so often

I then bought on HighsoStore, where the products are authentic, but the prices are really higher, just because they are brands mostly imported from Europe, Not for a higher quality
 

For Massa, the quality is very good, these are unbleached, Kingsize Slim sheets, ultra-thin, They always including filters tips in a pack, Its very usefull

Indeed , I have had joints built from Raw papers simply fall apart half way through a smoke , total pain

I ordered 32 packs from massa yesterday  at 1pm   and they arrived today at 10 am    and I live out in darkest Surin,   so excellent service.  The team are very pleasant to deal with too   Highly recommended

I've been getting good prices and service from  OCB Thailand, via Line.  I usually buy a box or two, good for a year.  Wide variety of papers.

never thought of OCB online to be honest.   I have just received a box of 32 kingsize plus tips  from the Massa outfit  I mentioned in a previous post.  only 600 baht and they are fine. Quick and free delivery and  good customer service with a follow up email

I had a few issues with RAW coming unstuck  "mid spliff"  recently plus they are 80bt per packet at the local "dispensary" and possibly fakes , apparently thats a "thing" these days I think OCB have been copied too at sometime as the last pack I saw had a QR code for verification if required

I think the real question is why did everyone on Lazada and Shopee stop selling papers?

Its certainly  a bit of a mystery, many other online retailers I looked at also stated that they would only sell them in bulk and a couple would only sell to dispensaries!, Maybe they all just envisaged a lack of demand due to various statements issued by "officials" or maybe and more likely, in view of the allegedly pending regulations shopee and lazada received some sort of warning about drug related paraphernalia by another over zealous type  guess we'll never know

      

                    Due to the illegality of weed in the UK the prices there are much higher than they are here ,probably close to 400b per gram if buying a full ounce   

                    Obviously the cheaper prices here are welcome , it just feels a bit strange when the biggest expense of rolling a joint can be the cost of the papers, sometimes up to 80bt for 30 king size with tips,  and weed available for as low as nearly 1bt per gram sometimes. not that I'm complaining of course
