In any event I set up monthly income from my Oz super fund in case of change of immigration policy.

That's a Savings scheme, not a pension scheme.

Ridiculous that some offices are fixated on the word "Pension" when some wealthy folk don't qualify for pension

The wealthy can afford the 800K method.
That's why Immigration offer alternatives to meet the financial requirements.

Disagree, and it's actually an income stream which is an option for immigration purposes.

Suggested reading "cBus Income Stream"

Surely an attempt at humor.

So wealthy folk must use money in bank method and excluded from income method

It provides an income stream from Savings, which is not the same as a 'Pension' income stream.
If an Immigration office requests evidence of the source of income from a pension, then only pension statement are admissable.
The same kind of documentation and evidence those Embassies still issuing an Income letter request.

That isn't what I stated.
It was a reply to your comment that some wealthy don't qualify for a pension and I merely pointed out if they are 'wealthy' the funds method is an alternative.

That would be down to immigration office ignorance. Sadly not a rarity.

CW is an office that in general understands the rules.

The monthly payments do not come from from "savings"

This is from the US-Thailand DT Agreement Article 20.3:

The term “annuities” as used in this paragraph means a stated sum paid periodically at

stated times during a specified number of years, under an obligation to make the payments in return for adequate and full consideration (other than services rendered).

A statement conforming to the above from a US bank with Bangkok office has proved acceptable to 2 Isan IMM offices.

 Bulls.hit but thanks.

13 years of money rotting is enough when having sufficient income.

Want to use the money freely not frozen.

It’s not the end of the world, but it’s bloody irritating to loose almost 30 000 baht every year on the interest.
