This concept, coined by psychoanalyst Karen Horney, comes from a rigid set of internal or external "shoulds" and "should nots" about how one ought to act, feel, or live. Examples include "I should be more successful" or "I shouldn't make mistakes," which can cause guilt and frustration when the ideal is not met. I get that way over my failure to have ever owned an Aston Martin!

October 17, 2025Oct 17 Anybody committing suicide would obviously have their reasons or urge that is impossible to assert by non professional therapists outside. The point here is no matter what may be the issue, for sure, it's not booze or drugs that will ease the pain. Sadly, many flee their homelands usually in the west, already with the burden of their mental issues and think it will evaporate when in Thailand (or anyother place similar). This is obviously not the case, which brings us to why so many people commit the irreparable.
