British social media sensation "Big John" Fisher, known for his lively fast-food reviews, has been detained in Australia due to a visa mishap. The UK star landed in Western Australia on Tuesday for a planned tour, only to find himself facing deportation to London. His anticipated appearances in Perth and Sydney have been cancelled.

Border officials questioned Fisher for four hours upon his arrival. Although he insists that his visa was valid, the authorities were not convinced about his intention to work during his stay. The mix-up appears to stem from Fisher entering the country on an incorrect visa. An Australian Border Force representative declined to comment on the matter, citing privacy concerns.

Fisher shared his frustration in social media updates, expressing disappointment about spending his 52nd birthday in a detention hotel. Despite these setbacks, he maintained his positive outlook, ending messages with his signature exclamation, "bosh". Fans showed their support by offering food, which he graciously redirected to food banks.

His son, heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher, confirmed that his father would soon be on a flight back to the UK. While speculating in jest, Johnny mentioned fears of Big John's fictional bowling skills affecting the Ashes series.

Fisher was scheduled for several Australian events, including a "Bucking Bull" challenge and a DJ set. With a substantial following of nearly 700,000 on Instagram and 500,000 on TikTok, he continues to captivate audiences with his enthusiastic reviews, capped off with the word "bosh".

Key Takeaways:

  • "Big John" Fisher detained in Australia over visa issues; faces deportation.
  • Scheduled events in Australia were cancelled due to incorrect visa.
  • Continues fan engagement from detention, encouraging food bank donations.
