Meteorological Department cautions of freak weather due to the global warming

Director-General of the Meteorological Department Supharerk Tansriratanawong (ศุภฤกษ์ ตันศรีรัตนวงศ์) warns of freak weather due to the global warming.

Mr. Supharerk disclosed that the weather conditions worldwide have been fluctuating due to air pressure troughs rooted by the global warming. The change has caused all regions in the world to face natural disasters, including flood.

In preparation for the new change of the weather conditions, the Meteorological Department is overhauling its weather forecast system so that it will work efficiently in forecasting the new freak weather. In the meanwhile, weather forecasters must observe the change of air pressure troughs so as to warn people in time.

An example of the change in weather condition is the heavy rainfall which usually takes place in August in the northern region of Thailand, but now, the direction of monsoon has changed to the northeastern provinces instead.

No, I haven't seen the global warming, but I think freak weather patterns have been around for a very long time.

It's about time they figured it out. Of course, global warming is caused by developed nations, so it's there fault. Sure glad deforestation doesn't contribute to those floods!
