The MPs accused STECON of facilitating a call centre scam by renting space to Prince International, allegedly involved in the scam. STECON denied any connection to illegal activities and stated that the allegations have damaged its reputation. Recently, the United States and United Kingdom sanctioned Prince Holding Group, led by Chinese-born Chen Zhi, for purportedly operating a call centre scam in Southeast Asia. Financial sanctions and asset seizures worth billions of baht are now in effect. Chen Zhi, who holds American and Cambodian citizenships, is linked to a Thai real estate company, Prince International. The issue intensified when MP Suphanat Minchaiynunt shared on Facebook that Prince International was laundering money for the scam. He questioned STECON's decision to lease space to the company on Sukhumvit 21 Road, raising suspicions about possible collusion. MP Rukchanok Srinork echoed these concerns and urged Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to investigate, noting Anutin's historical ties to STECON. On October 20, STECON refuted the claims, emphasizing there was no connection between the firm, its affiliate HTR Company Limited, and any illegal organization. The construction company has filed a defamation complaint at Thonglor Police Station. STECON is working with authorities to clear its name and regain public trust. MP Suphanat responded on October 21, visiting the police station to acknowledge the complaint. He stated that his Facebook post aimed to flag a suspicious presence within the STECON premises, not to defame the company, though he acknowledged the public might misinterpret his intentions.
