If they worried about those items (except for pneumonia) they would seek some sort of ban or limits on social media/net addiction far worse than a bit of smoke. Smart phone addiction is everywhere... kids might even be vaping as means to cope with the noxious effects of sm: increases in suicides, depression, etc.... worldwide phenom.

It looks like someone at TAT is moon lighting, providing stats to the anti-vaping lobby?

Never heard of e-cigs causing pneumonia.  However, there are drugs intended for use for people with COPD or other lung problems (corticosteroids), that actually paradoxically  DO cause pneumonia!!! Listed officially as side effects.

Many smokers were able to quit smoking cigarettes and switch to vapes.  This at least removes tar, which is the main problem causing lung disease in smoking.

Lipoid means something  fat soluable.  Could that have been when the vit E acetate was added to the juice where cannabis was added that killed some people?  Adding lipids to things being inhaled is not a good idea!  Your average liquid purchased from “respectable” producers do not add lipids to their products.
E-cigs should obviously be regulated as well as the liquid sold.  Dubai did this, about some 8yrs ago or so,  went from illegal to legal with shops being regulated and the merchandise controlled.

No stinky ashtrays, no buts littering the environment.  Obviously the “throw-away-after-use” vapes cause environmental problems, the UK has banned those.

It's got to do with the oils in the juice but as I said it's rare.

no tax - no vape... can tax - can vape...bottom line

There isn't a whole lot that, when inhaled, is healthy for you.

Clean air seems to be best.

Some say Vaping is 'safer' than smoking, but fail to recognize the 'popcorn lung' condition that has tripled in occurrence in teen users since Vaping was introduced. It's not a pleasant state of health.

 

Using Vaping as a method to quit cigarettes may be a good idea IF one stops vaping after 3-4 months without smoking cigarettes. The problem is, very few do stop vaping. It's actually a more difficult addiction to break!

 

I'm a smoker who hasn't smoked in 27 years. I don't care if others smoke or quit. I don't care for the smell of cigarettes when I'm eating a good meal, but otherwise, do what you want.

 

Just don't pretend that Vaping isn't harmful.

The whole vape ban is a farce, all indications appear they are far less harmful than smoking tobacco yet Thailand bans them outright and the only stuff available is black market vapes from China. Seems the tobacco monopoly and govt in Thailand are quite cosy and happy for that situation to continue.... 

 

If the govt is truly worried about kids getting onto them, regulate their sale strictly to over 21s and from restricted outlets. And increase the tax on tobacco to discourage cigarette use (which we know won't happen).

Well, except e-cig vapes don't have any oils in the juice. 

Only juice tampered with by drug dealers can have lipoid consequences.

Some vapes in Thailand have been found to contain all sorts of illicit material - drug dealers do this for higher profit.

Kids end up in hospital or in the morgue. Same when they buy pills or powder.

It's Vegetable Glycerin - it's an derivative of vegetable oil and it's a food additive. There's also Propylene Glycol, also a food additive. There's also food flavouring and nicotine.

Now name all of the additives that cigarette manufactures combine with tobacco. And each chemical that is produced when the cigarette is combusted.
