Has a Repulican ever won there?  That Cuomo guy is as greasy as they come. I think the biggest victory is for the young. Boomers can't be cleaned out of the pipe soon enough. Term limits, forced retirement and compulsory primaries (sorry, not civic) would go a long way to cleaning things up.

His blatant disregard for the working people of America with his new $300 million Epstein ballroom, government shutdown, illegal ICE activities, tariffs increasing prices and giving Venezuela $50 million whilst he tries to starve his own people of low income who rely on SNAP for food was enough for Americans to demonstrate they recognise he doesn’t give a damn about them and if allowed what other damage he’ll do to the country. Those Americans who had the opportunity to vote have demonstrated they know a 100% shyster when they see one.

Now that it is Mayor Elect Mamdani I notice the word "Free" has been replaced with the word "Affordable". He seems to be a very shrewd politician who ran a very good campaign against two bozos: The older Cuomo son and Curtis Sliwa.  In the 1980's Mario Cuomo was like a rockstar in the Democratic party.  Both of his sons not so much.  Mamdani did the first smart thing by retaining Police Commissioner Tisch.  I say give him a chance and see if he actually things in America's biggest city.
