Sarah Ferguson's Children's Book Pulled from Shelves

Sarah Ferguson's latest children's book, "Flora And Fern: Kindness Along The Way," has been pulled from sale, according to NielsenIQ Book Data. Initially set for release on 9 October and then showing a new release date of 20 November on Amazon, the book is now absent from the site. Neither Ferguson’s representatives nor New Frontier Publishing have commented on the withdrawal.

The situation follows a series of setbacks for Ferguson, 66, who lost her duchess title after her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, gave up his Duke of York title due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein. Recently, Waterstones declared the book’s release date had changed without a new date set. The publishing industry remains quiet about the future of her work.

Experts speculate controversies surrounding Ferguson influenced the book's withdrawal. Neill Denny from Book Brunch commented that postponing the release is a strategic move, stating it’s not the right time to publish. He noted that delaying the publication could be financially viable, given the book is unlikely to lose relevance over time.

Ferguson’s other publishers, including Harper Collins, have yet to sever ties and continue to sell her previous titles. Meanwhile, relocation is on the horizon for Ferguson, with reports suggesting a potential move to her daughter Princess Eugenie's home in Portugal, though no official confirmation has been made, reported the BBC.

Despite personal and professional challenges, Ferguson continues her business pursuits, which include writing. Her philanthropic efforts have faced scrutiny, leading to her being removed as a patron from several charities following an email from 2011 in which she referred to Epstein as a "supreme friend."

Key Takeaways

  • Sarah Ferguson’s children’s book has been withdrawn from sale.
  • Experts attribute the move to ongoing controversies.
  • Future of Ferguson’s publishing remains uncertain amid personal challenges.

Just delaying it until the saga re. stripping of titles blows over.

Seems sensible to me.

It’s all about money for her. Relying on status to make money. Status gone so all at risk.

She will always be a Duchess to me... straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

She looks a fright, the years have been less than kind.

She wrote a story. That's all.

Just like that Markle woman. Trading off the titles.

Harry needs to reign in his ILBW before she gets them both stripped as well.
