Police in Bangkok have arrested three men, including a stock-trading businessman, after uncovering an operation involving vape liquid cartridges infused with illicit substances. The arrests followed a sting operation on 14 November in which officers seized hundreds of cartridges known as “pot-k,” along with ecstasy, cocaine, blue methamphetamine solution and multiple vaping devices. Investigators said the alleged ringleader claimed he simply “liked collecting every brand to use,” despite the substantial quantities recovered.

The sweep was led by Pol Maj Gen Worawit Yananjinda and senior officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Patrol and Special Operation Division. The suspects, Pipat, 24; Inarm, 20 and Phuripat, 34, were detained at three separate locations: a roadside area near Chokchai 4 Soi 31 in Lat Phrao, a MaxValu car park on Srinakarin Road and a condominium in Soi Sukhumvit 103. Police recovered 564 drug-laced vape cartridges, 14 ecstasy tablets, one gram of cocaine, eight bags of blue methamphetamine solution and nine vaping devices.

The investigation began on 12 November when police received information that pot-k cartridges would be sold by a man driving a black Honda Civic around Soi Nak Niwat 21. Surveillance continued until officers saw Inarm hand a plastic bag to Pipat near Chokchai 4 Soi 29 at around 16:00. Inarm fled but was quickly caught and officers found 15 drug-laced cartridges in the bag.

Further questioning led police to Pipat, who admitted he was expecting a larger delivery from Phuripat. This prompted a follow-up raid at the condominium, where officers arrested Phuripat along with 549 additional cartridges and the other illegal substances. Police said the cartridges came in multiple flavours and brands and that Phuripat was involved in stock-related business activities before allegedly turning to drug distribution.

All three suspects confessed during questioning. Pipat was charged with possessing a Category 2 psychotropic substance (pot-k cartridges) for commercial purposes without permission. Inarm faces the same charge, along with using a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine). Phuripat was charged with distributing Category 2 psychotropic substances, possession of ecstasy and cocaine and offences under the Customs Act for possessing goods linked to illegal activity.

The Daily News reported that police have transferred the suspects and seized items to investigators at Chokchai and Prawet Police Stations. Authorities said further inquiries and expansion of the investigation will continue.

That is quite a collection! Is he filling them himself or buying them from someone else?

The four substances mentioned don't really work when smoked, I heard from a friend.
