November 16, 2025Nov 16 Sure, all of the beer companies offer it for about 8 baht. Stupid water costs much more.

I have heard of that before

"half decent" is vague though but to myself it would already mean organic only, "decent" is meat based A diet with any processed or packaged food is a "bad diet" IMO Organic can include meat and fish, it merely refers to use of pesticides, fertilisers, antibiotics, growth hormones etc. IMO some people suit a veggie diet, some do not. Before WW2, roughly, all food was organic ie produced naturally. Totally agree re processed food.

Of course it’s branding and yes it’s filtered water with added electrolytes, that’s the point. And pretty much anything is inherently healthier than tap water, esp Thai tap water. The last thing anybody wants is chlorine (and/or metals) in their gut. Particularly in the tropics, smartwater would be a better option than pretty much any normal bottled water, which is in effect dead water that does little for you. Op, did you consider adding sea salt and a nip of sodium bicarbonate to your water?

November 18, 2025Nov 18 Author Mods please just close this topic. I only asked for availability of the product and some did provide useful information and I thank them for that. If somebody wants to debate or discuss the topic of smart water, or make jokes, that is fine. Have them open a topic about that. To each their own

November 20, 2025Nov 20 smart water? If you like bicarbonates in it, buy some baking powder and put it in your water. Very simple. I see it is distilled water with later on added electrolytes and minerals again. With distilling you get everything out, same as with reverse osmose. Foodwatch describes the process as "completely useless from a nutritional point of view". In 2018, Smartwater was awarded the German Goldener Windbeutel ("Golden Windbag") anti-award by the consumer rights advocacy group Foodwatch Germany for "the most brazen lie in food advertising" that year. The group said that Smartwater is "nothing but ordinary water" sold by advertising a "scientifically-sounding but completely unnecessary production process" which yields no proven nutritional benefits, for as much as seven times the price of regular water.[18] The product also won the Dutch Gouden Windei ("Golden Windbag") prize that year Other thing it is mountain water, melt water , so already minerals in it. Same like mineral water out of ground , like Spa. Is NOT distilled then or filtered. You just can do it yourself and add whatever mineral or electrolyte to it. Have some energy drinks then but then without sugar or have electrolyte drinks. Well electrolytes are minerals. Ca, K, Na, Fe and so on. Baking powder sodiumhydrocarbonate , so giving Na ions and H2CO3 which brakes into CO2 and water.

A lot of meat and fish is now not organic though and most veggies are far from organic, and even organic veg can now be sprayed with apeel in many places (no idea about here yet) "veggie diet" if you mean vegetarian, yes. a vegan diet, no.
