Thai police have actively participated in the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly in Morocco, promoting four major agendas to strengthen international cooperation against transnational crime. The move highlights Thailand’s commitment to global law enforcement standards and cross-border security efforts.

From 24 to 27 November 2025, a high-level Thai delegation attended the assembly in Marrakech, led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Udon Yomjaroen, Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Worawat Amornwiwat, Deputy Commissioner of the Crime Suppression Division, and officials from the Foreign Affairs Division. The event was chaired by Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of Morocco’s National Security Department and attended by police representatives from 170 countries.

The Thai delegation focused on four key agendas. First, shaping global policing strategies and launching “Global Law Enforcement Capabilities” to enhance crime-fighting effectiveness. Second, supporting victims through the Silver Notice and Silver Diffusion programmes, prioritising asset recovery aligned with Thailand’s policies against technology crimes and money laundering. Third, ensuring international data standards via the Commission for the Control of Files (CCF) to facilitate accurate and respectful information exchange. Fourth, strengthening cooperation networks, establishing election committees and reviewing immunity agreements to improve cross-border police operations.

In addition to the main assembly, Thai officials held bilateral meetings with key partners including Australia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, India and Europol. These discussions aimed to deepen relations and share intelligence to improve the capture of criminals moving between Thailand and other countries. Experts say these efforts could significantly enhance the effectiveness of Thailand’s international crime-fighting operations.

Thaitabloid reported that Thailand plans to implement advanced technologies and international collaboration strategies acquired from INTERPOL back into domestic policing. These initiatives are expected to increase safety and asset recovery for citizens, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a reliable global security partner.

I'm confident that would have been Agenda Item 1 on their bilateral talks with Europol.😀
