The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) conducted a raid on 2 December 2025, on a commercial building in Ratchathewi, Bangkok, seizing approximately 50,000 counterfeit items, including clothing, shoes and blankets, with an estimated value of 20 million baht. The operation targeted goods being sold via a Facebook page, with representatives of the affected brands observing the search.

The raid was carried out under the direction of Police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthana Praedam, DSI Director-General, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Wisanu Chimtrakool, DSI Deputy Director-General. Officers involved included Police Lieutenant Colonel Pholsan Therdsanguan, Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Division, Police Lieutenant Colonel Phallal Petchrung, Deputy Director, and Ms Kritsakorn Thareeratt, Director of IP Cases Section 2, alongside the Special Operations Division. The search was conducted using a warrant from the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.

Counterfeit goods included high-end brands such as Gucci, Christian Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Burberry, which constitute violations under the Trademark Act B.E. 2534 and its amendments. The seized items were handed over to DSI investigators for examination and to serve as evidence in proceedings under the Special Case Investigation Act B.E. 2547, including further investigations.

DSI emphasises that combating intellectual property violations is essential to protect the economy and public safety, as counterfeit products can pose risks to consumers and damage the national economy. The department also seeks to enhance Thailand’s ranking in global IP enforcement. Authorities encourage the public to report any observed infringements via the DSI hotline at 1202, which is free nationwide.
