  • So you are not using you zimmer frame anymore?

  • George ,You ran away when monkey's attacked you ,first punch in the nose , that's the end of your boxing career , don't even  think about it. plus in previous posts you said Pattaya is crap

  • Of course boxing is a way to make a complete ass out of yourself and then open yourself to complete ridicule.  At my age I can still work a heavy bag with hands and feet. But it's purely cardio.

How old are you.  Have you had cataract surgery?  There comes a time when boxing isn't a good idea.  Old bodies don't absorb damage like youngsters do.

However! Boxing is EXCELLENT cardio as well as better self-defense than various forms of karate.  The only thing to add to the mix is Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. All for the same reasons.
That's a good set of mixed martial arts.  But at my age and with plastic IOL in my eyes - I won't even consider it - or recommend it. However, heavy bag work would be worth the time just for the cardio value of the exercise.

Even Joe Rogan who was someone not to be trifled with pretty much hung up the gloves due to perceived brain damage.

Me, short lived, and not even close enough time to have any brain damage, though people that know me, would surely disagree  :cheesy:

i think he took example of ex canadas leader trudoe and went ahead with fighting climate change, in the same fashion as don quixote

Don't do it. I went to a real boxing gym when I was a young fit athlete. It was a sobering experience. Don't do it to yourself.

Keep out of the ring.

Get yourself a speed ball, great for fitness, coordination etc.

A boxing speedball is excellent for overall fitness, offering significant benefits for cardiovascular health, upper body endurance, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and mental focus, providing a dynamic, full-body workout when used correctly. It conditions the heart and muscles in arms, shoulders, back, and core, working both aerobic and anaerobic systems for comprehensive fitness.

It's really rewarding when you get it right, getting the ball to bounce of the back board in sync.

Maybe write the name an AN forum member you dislike, then just imagine it's his head....... Bang Bang Bang. 😂

i think the idea is to attend more than just once if you wish to improve

It's Eagle Gym. The owner is an ex- World Champ boxer. He trains both boxing and Muay Thai.

See Google maps for exact location but it's on the road that runs down the side of the big Fascino pharmacy, near T21.

Or perhaps, a cheap charlie promotion of a boxing  business.  A thread that will circulate the name of a business.

Aren't all of his posts?

I suspect  Georgie has taken a punch or two in the ring previously.

I think we all knew it was too good to be true.

Don't do it.

It's a young man's game. I had a few amateur bouts as a teenager. After one, I couldn't get out of bed for a week. Literally.

And that was a 3 rounder that I won.

A friend who went to the same gym had his nasal bridge collapse after loss of septal cartilage support. Had several operations and still has trouble breathing to this day, 30 years later. He looks like he ran into a wall.

I was the second best boxer in my home state. Had 15 fights. Came second in every one.

Boxing is the sport of brain dead idiots, before, during, or after...

Yes I have been in very dangerous situations over the past few years , my Psychologist ( who charges $235 for an hour) told me I have created high hyper vigilance
