Yes, Walz has some responsibility, but blaming him is a cheap means of letting alot of people off the hook. 

- MN Department of Education is a major culprit. It's director and senior staff who authorized the funds are responsible.

- The members of the legislature who lobbied and pressured department officials to release funds are responsible.

- The state auditors who did not respond faster are responsible.

- The federal government officials who would not share information with the state that would have allowed an earlier response is responsible.

-The social activists and community groups who demanded that  funds be made available and who accused  the state of prejudice when it sought to supervise the disbursements are responsible.

 

All of these people  are equally responsible and should be held to account. Walz is only one of too many. Blaming Walz alone lets these incompetent and stupid people off.

He's not a Moron ,if anything he described himself as a knucklehead at times. 

He' is the  the Governor. He's facing big time heat from Government workers. FoxNews is reporting on it. There are 3 investigations  ongoing and the *oversight committee has requested docs .

His incompetence is staggering. He flubbed the response to the summer of love. As stated elsewhere here he's not the only one who should be held accountable.

 

My question is whether it was incompetence or was it fraud at the highest level of government.

Could it be Tim Walz may be to mentally challenged to prosecute, similar to the case with Biden and his theft of classified documents, knowingly possessing and sharing these classified materials. He is "incompetent" and a "loser" to say the least and the fact he signed a bill placing tampons in boys washrooms in all Minnesota schools may indeed afford him the "biden dementia" defense.
