Husband and Five Others Charged with Sex Crimes Against Ex-Wife

A dramatic turning point unfolds as Philip Young and five other men face charges for a series of sexual offences against Young's ex-wife, Joanne Young, over the course of 13 years. Philip Young, who recently moved to Enfield from Swindon, stands accused of 56 offences, including rape and administering substances to incapacitate his victim. He also faces charges of voyeurism and possession of indecent and extreme images.

Joanne Young, 48, has chosen to give up her right to anonymity in this disturbing case. Joining Philip Young in the charges are Norman Macksoni, Dean Hamilton, Conner Sanderson Doyle, Richard Wilkins, and Mohammed Hassan. They are all scheduled to appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. While Philip Young remains in custody, the other five men have been released on bail.

Norman Macksoni, 47, faces charges of rape and possession of extreme images. Dean Hamilton, also 47, is charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration, and multiple counts of sexual touching. Conner Sanderson Doyle, 31, faces charges of sexual assault by penetration and sexual touching. The charges against Richard Wilkins, 61, and Mohammed Hassan, 37, pertain to both rape and sexual touching; specifically, they accuse Hassan of sexual touching.

Detective Superintendent Geoff Smith of Wiltshire Police described the charges as a significant step in a "complex and extensive" investigation. Authorities are continuing to provide Ms. Young with special assistance as the legal process unfolds.

The upcoming court appearance will likely shed more light on the allegations and the response from the accused parties. The community and authorities are closely monitoring the court proceedings due to the seriousness of these accusations, reported the BBC.

Key Takeaways:

  • Philip Young and five men charged with offences against his ex-wife.
  • Charges include rape, voyeurism, and possession of indecent images.
  • The men will appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court, with one in custody.

How disgusting is this? And he thought this up on his own, not a copycat of Pelicot, inviting the neighbours to have a shag with an unconscious woman.

It does disturb me, however, that this took 13 years to conclude arrests. Even if drugged, wouldn't a woman notice both gross and subtle effects of the assault?

The assailant's body smell, fluids, soreness, all sorts of things. Does the drugged woman just find it too appalling to consider?

Let’s focus on the rapists.

You've changed your tune.

Seems you wanted to focus on anything BUT the rapists when it was happening in Rotherham.

I haven’t changed my tune at all.

I have never deflected blame from the rapists to their victims.

But since you mention Rotherham, where’s your outrage over this obscene news?

Yes you have.

You supported the police who did so.

This is terrible if it happened. But not even comparable to the scale of the rape gangs in Rotherham. The complete lack of a cover-up by the Police in this case is also noted in 2 Tier Britain. No concerns about community tensions in this investigation. No victim blaming on this one.

Utter nonsense.

Actually it’s obscene and there’s no need for your attempts to diminish the seriousness of this obscenity.

What by ranting about Rotherham?!

Back to the op, there's only 3 options

1 They did it against her will

2 it was consensual

3 they didn't do it at all

13 years later, I wonder what evidence they have, likely none.

The offences did not take place 13 years ago, they took place over the course of 13 years. According to the police statement, "The offences took place between 2010 and 2023."

Also, since the charges include possession of indecent images, there may well be proof in the form of photographs.

I'm not sure how likely it is that it was consensual when (at least if the charges are accurate) she was drugged when the rapes and sexual assaults took place.

Yes. There's no need to encourage @JonnyF's all-consuming Islamophobia.

There is a chance that some confessed to the police. There maybe a neighbour who heard something. Thank goodness the police were able to put it all together and arrest the lot.

Death penalty needs to return.

You seem to be confusing Islamaphobia with Childrapephobia.

Can you swing it to and fro, can you tie it in a bow, can you throw it over your shoulder like a Continental soldier...
