A bad accident now from the North Pattaya intersection with the Sukumvit Road which occurred in the early hours of Sunday Morning. Police Major Sanae and three Sawang Boriboon Rescue Units responded to the crash which left a total of 5 people seriously injured. This crash involved two cars, a Honda City and a Daewoo saloon driven by Winai aged 36 who was suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Witnesses mentioned that Khun WInai failed to stop at a Red Light as he was traveling towards Bangkok on the Sukumvit Road. He failed to see the Honda Car which was turning right towards Central Pattaya from the North Pattaya Road. A high speed collision took place leaving three passengers and the driver of the Honda along with Khun Winai badly injured. Police tell us they have initiated criminal proceedings against Khun Winai and will formally arrest him when he is released from Hospital.
