A woman in Bangkok's Phasi Charoen district narrowly avoided another attack by a neighbor's dog on January 23. This incident marked the second aggressive encounter involving the same dog. Previously, in March 2024, the dog had bitten the woman, requiring her to receive hospital treatment.

The woman's recent ordeal occurred while she was walking her own dog. The neighbor's dog allegedly escaped and attempted to bite her puppy, leading her to seek refuge behind a car in a nearby garage. She has since provided CCTV footage from the previous incident as part of ongoing legal action.

When reporters from CH7 News visited the dog owner's residence, no one was home. However, barking dogs could be heard within the property. Neighbors admitted the family keeps dogs that frequently bark, but offered no further information.

The estate's juristic office confirmed that pet ownership is allowed but requires dogs to be leashed when outside. A notice had been issued on November 7, 2017, reminding residents of this rule due to prior complaints. Despite this, issues with the dog have persisted, prompting further action.

The estate management intends to mediate between the parties involved. If mediation fails, they may seek help from the Phasi Charoen District Office under the Animal Control Act. New discussions are also considering stricter regulations on pet ownership to enhance community safety, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • A woman in Bangkok faced a second aggressive incident with a neighbor's dog.

  • Previous legal action is based on an earlier attack with CCTV evidence.

  • Estate management may enforce stricter pet ownership rules for safety.
