The FAA has halted all flights out of El Paso, Texas Airport for "security reasons". Reported by Fox News 05:19 EST today

“THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) CLASSIFIES THE AIRSPACE DEFINED IN THIS NOTAM AS ‘NTL DEFENSE AIRSPACE’. PILOTS WHO DO NOT ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING PROC MAY BE INTERCEPTED, DETAINED AND INTERVIEWED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT/SECURITY PERSONNEL,” the notices said.

“THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT MAY USE DEADLY FORCE AGAINST THE AIRBORNE ACFT, IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT THE ACFT POSES AN IMMINENT SECURITY THREAT,”

The Trump administration announced it had taken down a Mexican cartel drone flying into US airspace - only to confirm hours later that the object was nothing more than a party balloon.

The chaos began when anti-drone technology was deployed near the southern border to target what officials initially believed were foreign drones. 

The object was later identified as a party balloon, according to sources. At least one was shot down, multiple sources said.

Actually, that explanation never made any sense. 10 days for drones? It turns out it was a jurisdictional dispute between the FAA and the Defense Department.

Claims that US airspace was shut down because of a party balloon have been popped by new video appearing to show a large, hovering UFO over El Paso, Texas.

An eyewitness driving near El Paso International Airport on Tuesday pulled over to record what they described as a mothership floating above the ground in the distance, which was releasing smaller objects from its underside.
