Which Is?

Featured Replies

I'm spending two weeks in Thailand after Christmas over the New Year. The last six days of my trip I want to sit on the beach and relax. Which is the best island to do that. What I'm looking for is a place to relax, do some snorkeling, see some sites, eat some good food. I'm traveling alone so a little night life would be nice but not imperative. The last thing I want is to feel like I'm in Cancun for spring break. Can anyone recommend what Island or part of one island I can find this. Thanks much.

Hi I would suggest Thung Waleun Beach just outside of Chumphon. Its a pristine beach 2km long with some nice bars and restraunts. Its also on the mainland so saving on ferrys and island priced accom. Lots of bungalows to choose from and if you want peace and quiet its the ideal place to wind down your holiday. In the evening thereis live music in some of the beach bars but nothing to much. All in all a truly great place to be, thats why I moved here. If you want any more details PM me.

Photo taken yesterday around 1.00pm Notice the lack of tourists!
