Anutin Appointed Thailand PM For Second Term

Featured Replies

Anutin Charnvirakul has been appointed as Thailand’s prime minister for a second term, following a royal command read at 13:39 on Friday 20 March. The announcement confirms the continuation of his leadership, with immediate implications for government stability and policy direction. The royal command was delivered at the headquarters of the Bhumjaithai Party on Phahon Yothin Road.

The appointment was formally announced by the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives during a ceremonial reading. Following the reading, Anutin paid respects before the King’s portrait and officially received the royal command. The procedure marked the constitutional step required to confirm his premiership.

In remarks delivered afterwards, Anutin expressed profound gratitude for the royal appointment, describing it as the highest honour for himself and his family. He pledged to carry out his duties with honesty and dedication. He also emphasised that his administration would prioritise national interests and the well-being of the people.

The ceremony and royal endorsement underscore the formal processes involved in confirming a prime minister under Thailand’s constitutional framework. Khaosod reported that Anutin is expected to proceed with forming or maintaining his cabinet and advancing government policies. Attention will turn to legislative priorities and the administration’s approach to economic and social issues. Further developments will depend on how the government implements its agenda in the coming months.

That will be a first!!

God help thailand...he is useless...look at his not so fast reaction to the flooding down south earlier this year...no idea about how to manage a farm let alone a country..

I have to feel sorry for him he is walking into a mess that he really has no control over

Iran war flts and fuel

A country in debt

Cambodia

Corruption in government and private

Tourism and their daily whine

Plus he has to watch the short red knives that will come out when thaksin is released

Question is for how long. Thais tend to be very fickle.

Cambodia was his own making...

as I said during the elections, nothing will change, there are so many deals mad in the back ground and the Thai people don't know about or they know but don't care, meaning tomorrow it's like yesterday and the day before yesterday and the future doesn't look very bright, soon we will see some discord as the deal they were promised may not be what they got, let's get ready for the skeletons to come out

But we have seen that in the past decade with Pheu Thai and BJT in the last months, nothing went well.. The old guards have old ideas and time is changing, so maybe the youngsters are doing things different and maybe even better, but they don't get a chance

The challenge with PT and BJT is that neither party fully trusts the other, and the two large egos of Chidchob and Thanksin are running the parties. The only thing that is going to keep Thaksin in line is the knowledge that he does not have a power base in CM. If PPP faulters watch him move.
