Needs recommendations for a repair shop around Pattaya to inspect and replace disks

and break pads on a 3 years old MG, we were told that only MG garage can do and have the part,

is that right?

Call Gavin at EBC Brakes Thailand.

He likely will have pads for your car ( if not can bring them in from the UK) and will have a Pattaya workshop that can fit them.

Best to get the original genuine parts from MG. Other none genuine parts can cause problems

The "fan" belt on my Suzuki failed. I went to a local parts store and boughta new belt and had it fitted. It squeeled so went back with wife and asked to it to be retightened. Was told it was because we didn't use genuine Suzuki parts.

I ordered genuine Suzuki parts for an exorbitant price. When the arrive from Suzuki the alternator belt was exactly the same manufacturer and part number as he one I had previously bought from the local parts store.

So "genuine" sometimes means squat

Who told you only MG had the parts?

It looks like Bendix makes them, and B-Quick stocks them, at least for the MG-3.

I would try B-Quik and see what they say.

We have a 3 years old MG ZS and B-quick told us they can't help us and need to go to MG dealer, the MG dealer

asking 7,000+ baht to replace all 4 disks and pads but they have to order them,

So we called the contact number poster Ralf00 has given us and they directed us to a garage in Pattaya who could help us in replacing the disks and pads for 2,000+ baht only.

Nice. Mabe they re-line them, that used to be really common.

The disks were too thin already and the pads were almost gone after 100K+ use.
