Quite a strange story.. probably more twists to it...

New Inspector ...

Killed a "king" cannabis shop owner - from the name it looks like he was very popular local triad leader.

Killed during supposed "drunk" - but the killer was very fierce and vociferous - after he was subdued by local police.

No tourist involved - so he likely gets 10-15 years and out by 3 -5 years.

All goes back to same - but probably the victim's turf will be gone...

They should check who are the Victim's competitors... LOL

I hope I am not reading into too many triad movies plots.....

Spiritually, only GOD knows. .. live by the trade die by the trade...

Many, many, many tourist visit Pattaya and have a great time, and have no problems.

Thinking an area with tons of Bars, girls, and tourist looking to have a good time and expecting everyone to behave is just not realistic or the reality of the city.

Just be thankful we have a Mayor who really does want to make Pattaya better and is not another seat warmer

There is an old and sad joke about a group of people smoking in a cannabis cafe and a fight broke out -- JOKE -- there is almost NEVER violence associated with cannabis consumption. Alcohol is an entirely different story, and a much, much worse drug than cannabis. Now I am seeing lots of research on Cannabis CBD helping middle-aged women with menopause complications. Nothing healthy has ever been linked to alcohol.

Video is a little confusing t me. Looks like the victim ended up with the gun in his hand as he staggers away? So, he was shot by the guy sitting down with the dark t-shirt, managed to get the gun off him, then staggered away and collapsed? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Guns and alcohol just aren't a good mix, never ends well.

Red wine in moderation is actually good for health. Many of the Blue Zone residents drink it daily, and live longer than everyone on average. Moderate means just that though. Alcohol is definitely a bad thing in the wrong hands, or if too much is used. Weed usually doesn't cause problems and usually calms the user.

That is almost correct.

For several years, when I worked as a volunteer with the Thai Tourist Police in Chiang Rai and Khon Kaen, my colleague officers purchased their own hand guns. I was offered to apply for one in Chiang Rai but I declined - not my scene! More recently standardised hand guns are being issued.

Do get down off that shaky soapbox. The fact that the victim had a cannabis shop keeps getting mentioned but I have yet to see it is relevant.
