Trump: No More Mr. Nice Guy

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Just posted 42 minutes ago, Trump says he is prepared to do what all previous presidents in the past 47 years have failed to do. We may be waking up tomorrow to a safer, better world.

"Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Serious.

The previous presidents he will be outdoing are:

Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
George Bush the First
Bill Clinton
George Bush the Second
Barack Obama
Donald Trump the First
Joe Biden

This needs to be done, and will be done.

So in your alternative universe what could US forces achieve in one night that would make the world safer and better?

'Behind Trump’s Public Bravado on the War, He Grapples With His Own Fears'

"Trump campaigned on ending foreign wars but wagered that he could solve, with American air and naval power, a national security problem that had bedeviled seven previous presidents. Now, a cease-fire is in doubt, a critical trade route has been closed for weeks and Iran’s regime has been replaced with radical new leaders, all threatening to lengthen an operation that Trump has repeatedly said would only last six weeks—a deadline already missed since the war began Feb. 28."

Cutting off their funding for a start. China can't survive without the US. That also takes care of North Korea. Ukraine is only surviving due to US support, and Cuba is about to collapse and just needs the tiniest of pushes.

Let's review previous wartime presidents:

LOSERS
FDR - WW2 - Should have let Patton go on to Moscow
Truman - Korean War - Should have let MacArthur go into China
LBJ - Vietnam War - Not only lost the war, but bankrupted the US and forced it off the gold standard
George Bush the First - Iraq War 1 - Should have let Powell go on to Baghdad. Also should have fired Powell.
George Bush the Second - Iraq War 2 - A nightmare with Rumsfeld, Cheney and the generals.
George Bush the Second, Barack Obama, Joe Biden - the Afghanistan War. Lost the war, humiliating ending.

WINNERS
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln (harsh on civilians) and Ronald Reagan.

It's early to say where Trump will be, but he has clearly learned from previous foreign adventures.

Have you been in a local grocery retailer, say in the past decade or so? See all the produce from China? Blue berries 2-3X wild blueberries, and bluer than blue, massive uniform sized very orange carrots, oranger than orange citrus fruits etc.? If you are worried about GM products, the USA is the least of your worries. Did you know that soy and corn are the most likely to be GM and they are key ingredients in many foods? Are you aware of the new class of products called Genetically Edited (GE) and in Thailand apparently there is no requirement to declare them.

"Trump says he is prepared to do what all previous presidents in the past 47 years have failed to do."

Trump has never been one to engage in understatement.

No other president would be willing to do what Trump has done during the years.

Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?

He has no-one who anyone will be willing to trust, ever again.

Who's he gonna send.....?

Iran shut down the Hormuz Straits again. So does that mean Trump did not close it? Who is in charge of the flow of oil?

Iran is making the U.S. look foolish.

This excerpt from Trump's statement reveals how utterly ignorant he is:

"The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!”

Does anybody genuinely require an explanation of why this comment is so moronic?

"China can't survive without the US." Really? You sure about that:

US Makes Up Only 14% of Chinese Exports

The share of Chinese exports going to the US has declined from 20% to 14% since 2017, see chart below.

With China’s market share in the US declining, the economies that have gained market share in the US include Vietnam, Taiwan, Mexico, India, and South Korea, and studies show (see here and here) that about two percentage points of the rise in the market share of other regions is because of an increase in China’s share of their goods imports.

In other words, some exports from China to the US may be rerouted elsewhere or used as input in production in other areas.

China's trade ends 2025 with record $1.2 trillion surplus despite Trump tariff jolt

China on Wednesday reported a record trade surplus of nearly $1.2 trillion in 2025, led by booming exports to non-U.S. markets as producers looked to build global scale to fend off sustained pressure from the Trump administration.

A push by policymakers for Chinese firms to diversify beyond the world's top consumer market by shifting ‌focus to Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America paid dividends, cushioning the economy against U.S. tariffs and intensifying trade, technology and geopolitical frictions since President Donald Trump returned to the White House last year.

Are you aware that the US is the second largest exporter, after Brazil, of soy and corn.

And you want to claim the US is least of your worries for GM foods.

Why you make a fool of yourself with about every post you make?

Thanks for the deflection, but I'm from the U.K. We don't allow that GMO cr@p, no matter how hard Trump tries to push it on us. Europe similarly. They don't want it. That irks the Americans. They want to force their cr@p on us and we don't want it. I guess they'll try to force other countries to have it. Poor countries who can put up less of a resistance..

So thanks, but the USA is the biggest culprit in trying to force everyone down to their lower standards. Of course all due to the corporate lobbying in the USA. The love of money is the root of all evil.

Iran-US war latest: Tehran rejects second round of peace talks after Trump issues new threat.

Tehran has reportedly rejected taking part in the second round of peace talks with the United States after Donald Trump threatened to strike civilian infrastructure.

Iran’s official state news agency, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), reported on Sunday that Iran would not be taking part in the talks despite the US sending a delegation to Pakistan. They cited “US excessive demands and unreasonable, unrealistic requests” as preventing progress, however they did not cite a specific source.

Honestly who ever thought Trump and the America First agenda would be protecting Humanity from the likes of another regime considered & liken to another authoritarian Nazi regime.

https://www.cnn.com/2015/09/08/politics/lindsey-graham-iranians-nazis

The head of the Iranian parliament's construction committee, Mohammadreza Rezaei-Kouchi, has said on state TV that Iran's parliament has worked on a proposal for the management of the Strait of Hormuz which, according to him, will "soon become a law".

When it comes to the Iranian constitution, a proposal must go through several stages before becoming a law, but these can be fast-tracked.

Rezaei-Kouchi has said that the proposal has 10 clauses, which include:

  • The passage of cargo belonging to or associated with Israel will be "strictly prohibited"

  • Countries "hostile to Iran" will not be allowed transit unless authorised by the Supreme National Security Council, Iran’s top security body

  • "Hostile countries that have caused damage" to Iran during the war will not be permitted passage "until they compensate" Iran

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cly90l3ln30t

It's not clear if the proposal will become law, or how long that would take, but earlier this month, a presidential aide also suggested the Strait of Hormuz could reopen only under a new legal framework involving transit fees to compensate for war damage.
