You’re joking, right? Under Donald Trump? Give it a rest. Let’s get serious.

Have you been in a local grocery retailer, say in the past decade or so? See all the produce from China? Blue berries 2-3X wild blueberries, and bluer than blue, massive uniform sized very orange carrots, oranger than orange citrus fruits etc.? If you are worried about GM products, the USA is the least of your worries. Did you know that soy and corn are the most likely to be GM and they are key ingredients in many foods? Are you aware of the new class of products called Genetically Edited (GE) and in Thailand apparently there is no requirement to declare them.

Thanks to the original efforts by Monsanto 80% of soy crops globally are GMO and 90% of corn grown in the US is GMO.

Just posted 42 minutes ago, Trump says he is prepared to do what all previous presidents in the past 47 years have failed to do. We may be waking up tomorrow to a safer, better world.

"Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

This is just another day of Don the Destroyer being himself and sowing chaos around the world. His game is disruption and instability and everything he touches turns to crap. Woe is America and the world with Trump in power.

Trump has nobody to send to negotiate who are experts, and career diplomats, or anyone with a brain.

He has no-one who anyone will be willing to trust, ever again.

Who's he gonna send.....?

But, it seems, in Trump's Court, Witkoff and Kushner are the last fools standing.

The Iranians detest these two.

They do not trust them.

They will not negotiate nor deal with these two fools.

Domestic violence. An illegal firearm was used as the perp (as reported) was neither allowed to purchase, nor own a firearm due to to a prior conviction in 2019 for the illegal use of a firearm. How is the killing the responsible of a US President? It was a criminal act. It comes down to individual responsibility. The USA and the western world has become a culture where people do not have to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.

There is just so much a President, any President, can do. Affordability issues are influenced by tax policies and local education and social service funding. The perp and his family most likely paid little if any federal tax and most likely received federal benefits. The local municipality, county and the state are the primary regulatory and social services entities both set the local social and fiscal policies and deliver the services.

They will be able to trace where that uranium came from, which may turn out to be quite interesting, especially if the source is the US.

Thanks for the deflection, but I'm from the U.K. We don't allow that GMO cr@p, no matter how hard Trump tries to push it on us. Europe similarly. They don't want it. That irks the Americans. They want to force their cr@p on us and we don't want it. I guess they'll try to force other countries to have it. Poor countries who can put up less of a resistance..

So thanks, but the USA is the biggest culprit in trying to force everyone down to their lower standards. Of course all due to the corporate lobbying in the USA. The love of money is the root of all evil.

There was no deflection. The comment was made that attempted to promote a false claim that the USA was pushing genetically modified products on the world. I pointed out that the issue is not US specific. Because most of us are in Thailand, I offered Thai examples. However, since you want to be smug, note that China has approved the growing of GM soy and corn. It is most likely the world's largest user of GE -genetically edited animal and agricultural products which are different than GM products.. Have a look at the Chinese animal factory farms.

In respect to the UK, you are not accurate. GM products are allowed in the UK. They just have to be labeled as such. The UK purchases soy and corn animal feed. Two of the UK's largest animal feed suppliers, after the EU, are Brazil and Argentina. Both use genetically modified grains. Consumers eat the end product. In the UK, as of 2025 England allows genetically edited products.

And to better help you understand the issue in the UK, here is a handy reference chart.

Animal feed? You whole post is about animal feed, rather than products for human consumption.

Trump tries to force the UK to accept chlorine washed chicken and hormone injected beef, amongst other things. The promote fake foods, allowed due to lobbying by the corporates. Look at what you call Parmesan in the United States. it bears no relation to Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. You can even add wood pulp to grated cheese. Every food company purchased by the United States has lowered original food standards. People used to love Cadbury's chocolate....until the US got a hold on them. The same thing with a range of brands and products.

Corporates have so much power there, it's easy to bury any negative outcomes, so you cannot even trust the claims they give for their products.

So thanks, but no thanks.

Where is the link to that chart please?

Quote: "Trump says he is prepared to do what all previous presidents in the past 47 years have failed to do".

Translation: Straight and unconditional military victory hardly possible. The cost of this war tremendeous. Negotiations bring nothing (standpoints too far apart). The mid-term elections getting closer. Trump will have to win this war!

Last resort: Limited nuclear strikes on select Iranian targets. Unthinkable? Not at all. Because Donald is Donald and he will not go down in history as a "loser".

Again: "Trump says he is prepared to do what all previous presidents in the past 47 years have failed to do".

Agreed. Very foolish to send in the B team. Those clowns are despised. And they don't command any respect.
