Not there are any likely wars in Nigeria or disputes over natural resources that might precipitate such wars.

Yes, Africa has been a beacon of good governance, peace and tranquility, and all round stability. What could possibly go wrong?

After 2 weeks on a European vacation I'm surprised theres anybody left in Africa.

What an ignorant racist comment, but par for the course.

You do realise European countries colonised much of Africa and the Caribbean? And there are third and fourth generation immigrations who are part of the culture.

Did it upset you that you didn't only see white faces? Seems like it did. Maybe stick to Alabama in future, go and vacation with Riclag - a nice staycation in his basement.

Instead of overthrowing their corrupt govenments, they prefer to head to European shores with a rubber boat. Not knowing the language, no knowing anything of European culture, not having any marketable skills.

Africa’s new £26bn gas pipeline to be the ‘new Hormuz’ - will pass through 13 countries

The huge pipeline will cover a distance of some 4,000 miles through 13 countries.

Thank God, most European cars run on natural gas.

Did I read somewhere that Singapore and Malaysia were also colonized? How did that work out for them today? Im not sure the lazy argument of blaming acts a hundred years ago is useful or relevant, although Im sure the corrupt African dictators would strongly agree with you.

Might also be worth laying off the personal attacks, to comply with forum rules.

Why is it racist to comment on the enormous numbers of African migrants, legal and illegal that have flocked to Europe?

Yep, there surely is a difference between a third generation Londoner whose grandparents were born in Trinidad than a tribal tattooed African who doesnt speak English.

So much wrong with it.

The overwhelming majority of Africans and Caribbean people in Europe came there through legal immigration channels, with many having been there for several generations.

Because their chosen political party is unelectable, Europeans prefer to flee to Thailand. Not knowing the language, no knowing anything of Thai culture, bereft of any redeeming factors, they congregate in online ghettos. Foreigners, moaning about foreigners.

Sorry snowflake. But it was an ignorant racist comment. And how is calling a comment ignorant a personal attack? Is a comment a person? Does it live and breathe and have feelings? Awwww, poor comment.

You have allegedly been in Europe for two weeks on holiday and can't believe there is anybody left in Africa. Ergo, you think there were not enough white faces for your liking. What is not ignorant or racist about that?

Who is blaming acts of 100 years ago? What have Singapore and Malaysia got to do with it? I was explaining why we happily - and rightly - have black faces in Europe, black faces that you don't seem to feel should be there.

This for starters.

But what would I know? I've only lived and worked in 11 of them.

Hopelessly false. Google it.

I can't believe I'm engaging with Yagoda. This won't be habit forming.

If you don't see the nature of the comment as racist and ignorant then there is no hope. "I went to Europe and can't believe there is anyone left in Africa".

Where was the tribal tattooed African who doesn't speak English? You just dreamt him up.

Of course not - perish the thought!!! No siree Bob.

I mean they didn't get rid of the racist and segregation era language in their constitution until 2022 but I mean hey, progress takes time. Definitely not a racist state. Never has been, never will be.

Yeehah!

Back on topic. That pipeline may need to pass through some hostile countries as well as hostile environments. Maybe safer and cheaper to build decent LNG loading ports and use the tankers that can't transit Hormuz.

Correction. That pipeline is passing through 13 stable countries to avoid around 3 hostile countries as well as hostile environments that would be shorter. Maybe safer and cheaper to build decent LNG loading ports and use the tankers that can't transit Hormuz.

Tell us how it is racist. You cant. Where does he say black folks are inferior? In fact, where did he say ANYTHING about blacks as people qua people?

When was the last time you were in Europe? In fact, when was the last time you were on Soi 11?

He says he allegedly went to Europe and is surprised there are any people left in Africa. The racism is clearly implied - he didn't see enough white faces for his liking, thought there were too many Africans. There were so many Africans in front of his poor little eyes that he thinks Africa must be empty.

For here on in I'm falling back on this as discussing anything with you is pointless:

I can't believe I'm engaging with Yagoda. This won't be habit forming.

I was in Europe six weeks ago. And I'm going again in about ten day's time.

I was on soi 11 two weeks ago. No idea what that has to do with European immigration whatsoever. Time to revert to:

I can't believe I'm engaging with Yagoda. This won't be habit forming.

What language did they get rid of? When was the last time you were in Alabama?

Google it, it's all there. 1901 constitution, amended in 2022.

Never been to Alabama, I have no interest in visiting redneck states with a history of racist violence.

When was the last time you were in Europe? The UK? Were there too many blacks for you too?

Calling out others....then go on to make a blanket statement about an entire state.

Smh. Classic.

That's a big risk for a mainly unnecessary project.

I don't get the comparison with Hormuz at all.

I don't think it is a racist comment. History definitely shows most African countries went downhill after they gained independence. Zimbabwe is a prime example. Once a food exporter the country can now barely feed itself. Some times the truth can be very unpleasant.

Sigh. You didn't read what I wrote. I was not talking about how African countries have fared since colonisation, that was only brought in by someone else and is nothing to do with my comment.

I was calling out the ugly comment that Sunny allegedly went on holiday to Europe and thinks there can be no Africans left in Africa. He only expected to see white faces as that is what he thinks Europeans should look like.

It was an ugly racist comment.

Everything else is just fluff.

What's racist about him being surprised how many Africans he saw in Europe?

Nothing at all, sigh. Saying there can be no Africans left in Africa. It was quite obvious he found it unpleasant to see dark faces there, like he expected Europe to be a white utopia. He other posts reflect that too so I know what it was.

Before running a pipeline through Nigeria they should talk to Shell.

Shell will tell them all about locals drilling holes in pipes to steal oil then run away leaving the oil to pollute. This of course all got blamed on Shell.

On the plus side the Nigerians cant actually catch gas in a bucket and it won't lie around on the ground as evidence.
