A harsh comment, but accurate. The worst enemies that Africa had after the "colonial-powers" left, were their own governments. Every African country has turned into a "basket case", without exeption,

I don't think it is a racist comment. History definitely shows most African countries went downhill after they gained independence. Zimbabwe is a prime example. Once a food exporter the country can now barely feed itself. Some times the truth can be very unpleasant.

There's no denying that the stain of former colonialism has proven too hard to remove for most of the countries that gained their independence during the Cold War. However, Zimbabwe is the low hanging fruit in that debate. Sometimes one has to think a little bit harder before extolling the truth.

Only 3 be good. About 20 of them.

So much wrong with it.

The overwhelming majority of Africans and Caribbean people in Europe came there through legal immigration channels, with many having been there for several generations.

Sure. After the colonies became independent, the Brits called it "The commomwealth of nations". Opening all doors. With the result that an increasing number of Brits are voting for Nigel Farage these days.

Because their chosen political party is unelectable, Europeans prefer to flee to Thailand. Not knowing the language, no knowing anything of Thai culture, bereft of any redeeming factors, they congregate in online ghettos. Foreigners, moaning about foreigners.

Europeans in Thailand pay their own way as there is no lavish social security system for them in Thailand. As oppposed to "refugees" entering Europe. Do you notice this slight difference?

Hopelessly false. Google it.

This was meant as a sarcastic comment with regard to "we need gasoline, diesel, kerosene". The price of natural gas clearly shows that there is no shortage of natural gas.

Nigel Farage is going to expel 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation immigrants is he? Those that were born and grew up in the UK and call it home? Those are the ones you're referring to.

Farage is being found out as a fraud, sorry to say. I think you'll see the Greens outperform the one policy dog and pony show that is Reform.

Did you notice that I wrote "most African countries"? To their credit some countries have done fairly well.

I used Zimbabwe as an example because I know a successful farmer who left after their land was "stolen".

She and her husband relocated to Hawaii.

Correction: None of the African countries have done well after de-colonisation. NONE.

While not a shinning example of a booming economy and democracy, Egypt has not done too bad. The country has managed to mostly stay clear of the turmoil plaguing her neighbors.

He forgot Mauritius, Botswana, Namibia, Tunisia, Seychelles.

Egypt the most populace state in the middle east. Over a 100 million. The Nile not able to feed the populace anymore like in in olden times. The staple food of Egypians (bread) is kept artificiall low by the governmant, thus avoiding "upheavel" by 100 million empty stomachs.

I remain: Concerning African States after De-Colonisation, there are no "success-stories". NONE¨!

In other words: The influx of "commomwealth folks" was welcome according to you back then.

Todays rubber-boat people will "enrich" the UK culturally, economically and otherwise? Do you truly believe this?

Many empires have come and gone. The UK has delivered proof that Empires can vanish, even in modern times, because the culture (grown over centuries) would gain if one would allow other cultures to infiltrate an already existing established culture. ???

The recipie that has brought down many empires before, among other things. But the British Empire holds the world record, when it comes to "how fast can an Empire vanish", after it took centuries to build the Empire. Greetings from Elisabeth 1st.

It wasn't welcome by racists, no. But by normal people, yes, and they are now an integral part of Brain and her culture, and Britain is all the richer for it.

  1. Dehumanising language typical of your ilk. 2. What on earth are you wibbling on about anyway?

The British Empire fell due to many reasons: mainly economic (post WW2), but also political and ethical.

It was certainly nothing to do with allowing commonwealth immigration.

You are about to witness the end of pax Americana and they are busy actively deporting immigrants.

There's at least seven that are more democratic and less autocratic than Magastan or Pomgolia.

You appear have a serious hard-on for Africa. Maybe you had a bad experience while you were there? Or maybe you're just being Swiss.

Africa’s new £26bn gas pipeline to be the ‘new Hormuz’ - will pass through 13 countries

The huge pipeline will cover a distance of some 4,000 miles through 13 countries.

Did you ever look at a map of Africa?

Nigerian gas exports never needed the Hormuz strait in order to reach Morocco or other recipient countries in Europe or Asia-Pacific.
