Daily Record

A retired CIA analyst alleges a senior US military chief refused Donald Trump access to nuclear launch codes during a heated White House meeting.

Brilliant! (As long as the codes don't fall into the hands of even worse warmongers.)

Trump can't be trusted. I'm not sure the Scottish Daily Record can, either.

This never happened, The OP has posted fake news. The story contains obvious errors and ingnorance of how the nuclear football works.

A President doesn't ask for "launch codes". The President issues an order for an attack.

The briefcase is opened, and attack options considered. A plan is determined, and then the order formally issued Strategic Command will want to make sure the command has come from the President, so out come the "Biscuits" to confirm. This is the "launch code". The President always carried his biscuit on his person (Gold Code).

This is where the story is obviously bull<deleted>, and the OP, unless he's stupid, knew this when posting fake news. If the President is having to "ask for the launch codes", that would be because they have taken the Gold Code off him. So Bull<deleted> marker #1. Secondly, if a member of the Joint Chiefs refuses to execute the order, it would be not because he morally disapproves, but because it was an illegal order. This would be grounds for Impeachment. The OP I note posts lots of obviously fake news.

Even Larry Johnson, the personally originally quoted in the article, walked back his statement.
