You're an Australian Citizen, not Subject. You've never been an "Australian Subject".

Visa arrangements are reciprocal. I'm not sure why you are of the belief that Australian citizens should be accorded special privileges that British citizens do not have when visiting Australia. Both countries introduced visas in the early 1970s, though both, for UK, Australian citizens, followed a process of authority on arrival (visa on arrival). Australia introduced more restrictions on Britons in the 1990s by requiring travel authorisation, which was reciprocated 30 years later by the UK. In both cases, not a visa per se, visas for ordinary visitors are still issued on arrival.

Your irrelevant comment regarding the entry of some refugees is a view resembling those you describe themselves as firmly in the racist/Islamophobe camp, which I suppose is your right. Perhaps you felt the need to state that to get your racist credentials out in the open.

You replied in bold font for no apparent reason.

I maintain my freedom of expression, despite your attempts to repress it. Freedom of Expression of course is different from the American concept of Freedom of Speech. Freedom of Expression means I don't have the right to be heard. You can block my account.

Vidkun Quisling was tried and died a mass murderer, having been held responsible for his role in the extermination of Norwegian Jews. Your characterisation of a former Australian Prime Minister as a "British Quisling" (sic) is both ridiculous and offensive. Abbott is not a mass murderer nor, as far as I know, an extreme anti-semite. Your ignorant use of the term is highly offensive and contrasts with your preceived prejudices. Your use of the term is ridiculous because it demonstrates an innate ignorance about who Quisling was. It would make more sense to characterise Abbott as an "Australian Quisling"; that would still be offensive to survivors of the Holocaust and those who suffered under Nazi occupation, but at least it won't be perceived as imbecilic.

Australians, like Britons, are not required to swear allegiance to anyone. You live in Thailand, so clearly you are not an Australian politician, serving police officer nor serviceman, so I'm not sure why you are lying by suggesting that someone now is forcing you to swear allegiance to anyone. And for anyone required to take the Oath, your are not swearing allegiance to a family unit. You are not even swearing an oath to the monarch (the head of state) and his heirs. There is no alliegance formalised with respect to the rest of the family. Government Acts are in the name of the "Crown". The Oath is an Oath to the constitutional order. The oath functions as a commitment to the rule of law and institutional continuity. Without taking an oath, a police officer cannot be said to be acting within the law. If someone is taking Australian nationality, or wishes to hold certain offices, they are being asked to accept the current rules of the system. Disliking the monarchy doesn’t remove that requirement; it just means accepting it as a condition while remaining free to campaign to change it, through referendums or political reform.

So another lie designed to misrepresent a position and distort a discussion. You're being a bit of a baby about it, while going off on one describing, in effect, your former Prime MInister as a Jew killing Nazi, originating because you had a crappy job carrying around bags for rich and not-so-rich blokes ("Caddy" isn't exactly much of a profession), generating resentment.

Blah blah blah. It's time Australia grew up.

Please tell me when and where I tried to suppress your freedom of speech. That's a very weak attempt at gaslighting.

Abbott came out to Australia when he was 13 yo. He has always represented British interests over that of Australia, and is probably still lobbying for a knighthood. One of the worst Prime Ministers Australia ever had. An acolyte of Menzies, whose adulation was sickening.

My Thai GF and I have been together for more than ten years. I speak competent Thai. Calling me a racist is a demonstration of your abject ignorance.

I do not resile from my view the Royal family are parasites. I am with Willie Hamilton. The fact there are large numbers of people who are still monarchists is a tribute to the publicity machine that supports the institution, and the stupidity of its followers. It's another form of MAGA.

When I posted information about the former Governor of Victoria, and the sexual foibles of the Royal family, what I said is a matter of record. You have done nothing to rebut the assertions. The truth hurts.

You obviously can't recognize satire, and me posting in bold is evidently such a grievous offence the tar and feathers must be ready and waiting. Get a life.

Now p!ss off, you're boring.

A spectacularly dumb comment.

A small group of legendary bagmen has moved far beyond the million-dollar mark, earning figures comparable to the pros themselves:

  • Steve Williams (Tiger Woods): The gold standard. His estimated net worth is around $20 million. During his time with Tiger, his annual earnings often ranked him among the highest-paid "athletes" in New Zealand.

    +2

  • Ted Scott (Scottie Scheffler): Currently the highest earner. In 2024 alone, he earned an estimated $5.4 million thanks to Scheffler’s record-breaking $55 million season. He has likely surpassed the $10–15 million career mark.

  • Harry Diamond (Rory McIlroy): With career earnings estimated to have exceeded €10 million, Diamond has benefited from McIlroy’s long-term consistency and high-value FedEx Cup wins.

  • Jim "Bones" Mackay (Phil Mickelson): Over a 25-year partnership with Mickelson, Mackay reportedly earned well over $10 million before transitioning into broadcasting (and later returning to the bag for Justin Thomas).

Who cares? Trump can do or say anything at all depending on his mood that day and the state of his mental derangement. Everyone knows this, so nothing he does or says is noteworthy unless it has significant real-world repercussions. Insulting or embarrassing someone, even a king, matters not at all.

Oh, want something more recent about this traitor to Christianity do you ?

In March 2025 King Charles III extended his "heartfelt best wishes" to Muslims in the UK and the Commonwealth for a blessed, peaceful Ramadan

Then, on 2nd April this year, he shared warm greetings for Eid al-Fitr 2026, wishing Muslims in the UK and around the world a joyous and peaceful festival. The message was posted on official Royal Family social media.

However, this Easter, he decided not to post a traditional Easter message to UK Christians on Maundy Thursday, as he had done the precious year. If you were a practising Christian in the UK, you would understand the huge significance of his treachery.

This is a dereliction of his duty as Defender of the faith, and Supreme Governor of the Church of England; it is a disgraceful shift in his allegiance to the church, and he should abdicate, taking the appalling Labour government with him.

Calm down, fella. One superstition is as good as any other.

That being said, I have to admit I'm torn between Zeus and Odin.

Embarrass King Charles?

Ah....King....take a number.

Trump has embarrassed the Office of the President. He has embarrassed the United States. He has embarrassed any and all former allies. He has embarrassed the human species. Trump has embarrassed all that is good and decent anywhere.

On a smaller level, Trump even embarrassed a MAGA Talking Head on CNBC, Joe Kernen. Trump was doing his "weave" and talking absolute nonsense, which made Kernen so uncomfortable he said, "Well, we don't want to hold you up any longer, Sir, you have important things to do", which Google translated as:

"Cut this bozo's phone off quickly!"

Another Royal Parasite according to Lacessit. Prince William was a Search and rescue Helicopter Pilot before becoming a Air Ambulence Pilot. The kings Sons have both done there service in the military, the only reason William was not posted to Afgahn or any other war zones was because he is the future king and cannot be put in danger otherwise he would have been.

The video is titled "Royal Family Channel". Thank you for supporting my point about the Royal family publicity machine.

Prince William has visited Australia four times. How many search and rescue operations did he participate in there?

The cost of a royal visit to Australia varies between $400,000 and $2.5 million. IMO that money would be better spent on Australians.

You don't get to tell me what to do.

If you want to support a dysfunctional family of people, in a country that has no longer any relevance to Australia, because you are British, fine. It's your money, and your forelock to tug.

Tell me, do you think Australia would collapse into chaos if we fired all the governors and closed their mansions, or would we be removing a redundant and obsolete layer of bureaucracy?

‘High Stakes’ Warning from Westminster

Emily Thornberry has sounded the alarm, warning the president “can’t stop himself” when facing the media. She fears off-the-cuff remarks or late-night posts could derail carefully choreographed diplomacy.

The King and Queen are expected to meet Trump multiple times over four days — increasing the chances of unscripted moments in front of a global audience.

It's a minefield for the king, no doubt.

The worst would be for something bad or awkward to be said if Downing Street had agreed for the king to sit with Trump in the oval office with press gathered.

Some on this forum have the intellectual intelligence to actually reply to the framework of the comment they are replying to; even if they hold a diametrically opposite view  to that comment.

Others, choose to make banal, juvenile and irrelevant ad hominem replies; usually designed to insult or provoke, but never addressing, or arguing against the comment they are replying to.

Thanks for confirming your modus operandi on this forum ....

It's very likely that Trump will say some really stupid stuff while the king is in the US, he just can't help himself. His best approach would just be utter silence, and never say anything while the king is here, or stick to a script, which he's proven is beyond his capacity.

When Trump is on display always expect more stupidity.

The king of England is just a man, like you or me. If the Brits want to put him on a pedestal, that's their business not America's.

Donald Trump has said he plans to talk to the King about “everything” during the royal state visit, including the Iran war which has strained transatlantic relations. The US president also said he would raise the thorny issue of NATO which he has lambasted throughout the conflict.

Among other topics he was set to raise with the King was the UK’s digital services tax on American social media firms.

The president has threatened to impose a “big tariff” on Britain unless it drops the 2% levy on the revenues of several major US tech companies.

Trump to raise 'everything' with King, including Iran war that has hit relations

Most on this Forum have no idea what a Royal is. They are not aware of the nearly thousand years of history and tradition that goes with a king. Like it or not they are not voted in to serve they are crowned for life only on death they are changed. Ony one has given up the throne for a Yank in nearly a thousand years. In the presence of a king or a queen you are not allowed to touch them or walk infront of them if you walk side by side with them. Trump failed to use decorum on his visit when he met the Queen. She had to wait for him in Windsor Castle a deff no no. He then made the mistake of walking infront of her another no no. I would have expected his handlers to inform him what the process is when meeting a Royal but Trump being Trump didn't listen. I can only see embarrasment on this visit.

I don't have any convict ancestry. A dash of Scots.

The British have never got over the fact Australians beat them in all manner of sports, despite having 2.5 times the population.

Admittedly the British would beat us in soccer, but we are not so stupid we would play a sport where we deliberately whack the ball with our heads.

That may explain why the average Australian IQ is 104.5, compared to 101.6 in the UK.

I remember the outrage when Paul Keating put his arm around the Queen. The British media frothed at the mouth about the Lizard of Oz.

FFS, she sat on a toilet, peed and pooped like anyone else.

Jeez, and you think Yagoda is an arrogant Yank. Yes, he is. But comments like this make you even worse. Arrogant, condescending, and superior, really poor form.

I am neutral on the royals for what it's worth. They're mostly OK. The Queen was hard working. The hatred of Prince Harry by many on here is mostly racist because he married a black American. I am probably 60-40 in favour of keeping them as I value tradition.

But seriously, the smug arrogant condescending tone of your posts to Australians is all the things you hate about Americans.
