Then he wiped them all out when they had served

their purpose.

Really? I thought that the Iranians had signed an agreement not to produce nuclear weapons with the US under Obama that Trump cancelled. Then back in February, the US and Israel tried to take out the whole Iranian administration while still in the middle of negotiations.

You mean like Hitler signed that agreement with Chamberlain? And that one with Stalin?

Then what is the point of Trump trying to sign another agreement with Iran?

The Obama one was supposed to allow inspectors to come in and verify. What more do you think Trump will be able to, or be allowed to do?

The Iranians hate and have no trust in this administration. Trump should have carried on with his earlier negotiations instead of trying to wipe them out, but after Venezuela, he was feeling high on success, and thought this would one be easy.

UPDATE: In another move orchestrated by President Trump and his men, Israel moved an advanced laser defense system to the United Arab Emirates. They are now protected as part of Israel's Iron Dome.

Today, of course, is also when the UAE leaves OPEC and turns their oil well spigots to "full blast".

Moves are being made in preparation of another attack, if Iran does not agree to terms.

Please tell me. If the UAE turn their oil spigots to "full blast" today, where will they store all that oil?

It can't pass through the Strait, and there are no pipelines big enough to move that amount of oil.

There is only one way that things will ever get back to anything like normal, and that is that the US, and the rest of the world are going to have to negotiate a deal with Iran. At least until any other options to avoid the Strait can be built. Be that large pipelines or some sort of Suez-like canal to cut across that UAE - Oman pointy bit.

So what's the absolute best Trump can get out of this war of choice?

He'd be lucky if he could get what Obama already achieved back in 2015 with the JCPOA. That is the absolute best case scenario, though it's unlikely to be even that good.

Thus, in order to get back to the status quo ante (odds are not that good), Trump was willing to spend $50 billion, send the world economy into Recession if not Depression, slaughter thousands of innocents, and drastically deplete US weapons stockpiles.

Iran is still run by the mullahs. Iran still has 500-600 kg of 60% enriched U235. Reports coming out now---not the Trumpian falsehoods---are that Iran still has plenty of missiles as some air force and navy. GCC countries, who have allowed the presence of US bases, believing that would keep them safe, now know that is a fantasy. World opinion has turned strongly against the US. It is likely the opinion of Iranians who oppose the theocracy have also had their views about the US turn negative. Killing 168 elementary school girls will do that.

The whole world also sees that "Have nukes, have security", no matter how many of your own people you slaughter and no matter what direct threat you pose to the US (e.g., North Korea), so expect a lot more nations to work toward nuclear capability. The world needs more nuclear nations? Thank Trump for that.

Now Trump is angry at Europe and Japan for not supporting his silly war. That will likely result in base closures in Asia and Europe, which makes "projecting power" a lot more difficult. In case Trump hasn't looked at a map recently, he should notice the US needs overflight allowance in order to reach places like Iran. The US won't have that anymore. Iran will know that, and know their only true threat in the future will be Israel.

All this nonsense---plus $4.50 gallon gas---all the death, all the destruction, all the lost allies, all the wasted weaponry, all the inflation---just because Obama lives rent free in Trump's addled brain. Had Trump not tossed the JCPOA, Iran would still have but 300kg of 3% enriched U235, no nuclear program, the war would never have started, the Strait of Hormuz would be open, gas would be maybe $2.50 gallon, and the US would still have friends other than psychopaths and authoritarians like Putin, Netanyahu and Erdognan.

Totally agree with your post. Regarding the above, you forgot to mention the 1 country that definitely will get one now, one way or another: Iran.

Does it ever dawn on you how often you repeat that silly phrase? You're so locked in the past and so compelled to engage in deflection, rather than offering us actual facts.

I don't know how long it's going to take you to realize this but neither Obama or Biden are still president. There's one man who's causing all this reign of destruction, only one.

What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that Iran is actually showing restraint at this point, they have not unleashed any of their proxy sleeper cells, they have not rained down terror upon the American mainland, which they are fully capable of, they have not hacked into American infrastructure yet or defense systems yet, and all of those still remain strong possibilities if the ignoramus Trump doesn't start to wise up.

Though it is very difficult for Trump when it comes to things like learning and comprehension, I think it's finally dawning on the clowns that they picked on the wrong adversary, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons. The takeaway from this is never, ever listen to Israel, and never ever take their advice, nor follow their dictates.

This is not going well for big Don and this is going to be his his boondoggle and his demise. It looks like that he's going to take MAGA down with him, which is a good thing for not only America but for the entire planet.

Of course Obama lives in Trump's head. It all stems from Trump's incredibly thin skin and a joke Obama made a decade and a half ago at a WHCD.

Trump is begging for a "deal" with Iran that won't even be as powerful as Obama's JCPOA.

Trump is obsessed with crushing Obamacare, yet after 10 years the best Trump can claim is he has "a concept of a plan".

Trump regularly Tweets about Obama. Just last week Trump Tweeted Obama should be "arrested for treason". Trump doesn't even know what treason means, but he regularly uses that in his childish and vindictive insults.

In Trump 1.0, Trump posted the DC address of Obama, leading to a MAGA guy showing up outside the Obama residence with many guns, and who was subsequently arrested by DC police.

Trump is obsessed with Obama.

And let's not forget Trump inherited a growing economy and 4.8% post-Financial Crisis unemployment from Obama, but left Biden a Recession and 6.8% UE---all while running up the National Deficit by $8,400,000,000,000.

I think it might be appropriate to nickname Trump DCP. Don has a concept of a plan. He's making it a habit to trash good legislation and good policy while spouting rubbish, lies and nonsense about his ability to dream up better policy.

Of course this all comes at the cost at great cost to the average American. Many of whom are realizing now, that they backed the wrong horse. And that that dumb horse is semi senile, quite insane, incredibly incapable, and has truly horrific policy.

Yes.

Iran has chosen to play the relative "good guy" in this war. Iran is as skilled at hacking as anybody, but save for one hack of a medical company in California, they've been quiet.

Iran hasn't tomahawk schools and hasn't killed any French UN troops. Despite what happened in the Iran protests, the world is now seeing things like 168 blown up elementary school girls and many innocent deaths in southern Lebanon. Trump and Netanyahu look like the psychopaths they are, while the protest deaths are moving rapidly into "ancient history". Such is the attention span of the world,

As bad as the regime is, they've let Trump score a series of own goals and alienate the US from the rest of the world. Even the fanatical mullahs are not posting images of themselves with machine guns, like the coward Trump. Trump ends up looking silly, which is a natural for him. Even King Charles III politely read Trump the riot act.

The Strait closure is reflecting badly not on Iran, but on Trump. It should be a 50-50 bit of resentment, but the world, suffering from higher energy costs, disrupted supply chains, high fertilizer costs, minimal Jet-A fuel, and overall inflation, blames Trump.

Iran is just sitting back and letting the scorn for Trump run without competition.

What seems to be getting lost in the fog of war is the fact that it might be okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. After all Israel has many, and they are the new terrorist nation in the Middle East. North Korea has several as well as several other nations.

At this time when there were so many crises around the world it would make more sense to focus on things that really matter. Rather than getting us involved in more endless overseas adventures (excursions), at who knows what cost, without an end game in sight.

That kind of thing is just dumb to a mind-boggling extent, which more or less describes the orange garbage clown, in his entirety.

Trump likely first used the word TREASON publicly in regarding Gen. Milley 2020-21.

And I guess he liked it -- now media outlets that are disseminating 'false' information on Iran conflict are being accused of TREASON.

The Iranian Rial is now almost worthless. On January 1 of this year, a US dollar could buy 42,000 Rials. Today, a dollar buys 1.78 million of them.

Their economy is in shatters.

On top of it, and unfortunately, China's dominance is about more than just lithium!

Moves are afoot to tackle this problem. Look at this report from the US House of Representatives regarding China's Minerals Mafia (their term).

"China is destroying the planet and leaving behind a trail of corruption and human rights abuses in its quest to dominate critical minerals"

Lithium is just a start, but the US will do a better job than China.

You seem to be confused. Taking into account reality doesn't mean supporting China and its authoritarian system.

The 'west' has been reacting about it for some years, and hopefully it will succeed. However, China's dominance in some critical minerals and other inputs is not going to change on short term, and probably even not on middle term.

This is more than the nuclear question - there is the global terrorism problem caused by this crazed regime. Here is Treasury Secretary Bessent:

Iran is the head of the snake for global terrorism, and under

@POTUS leadership, Treasury is moving aggressively, through Economic Fury, to sever the Iranian military’s financial lifelines. We will relentlessly target the regime’s ability to generate, move, and repatriate funds, and pursue anyone enabling Tehran’s attempts to evade sanctions.

The US oil industry isn't making anything. The way the industry works is they take at least 6 months to drill a well. They haven't done this due to uncertainty. That is, they won't drill wells now as they don't know if the price will drop after they invested. So they wait to see what will happen. They aren't making money.

Already for the last 50 years, the USA is actually the one nation supporting dictators, overthrowing democratic nations, ambushing souvereign nations (read the list of 'special military operations' of the USA since Vietnam and Putin looks half like an angel compared to it), financing terror (were the Americans not allied with ISIS when meddling in Afghanistan and Syria?), abducting people (private citizens to CIA black sites to the kidnapping of acting heads of state), piracy on the high seas, economic warfare against allies and enemies alike, etc, etc.

The basic questions is: can the world allow a pariah nation like the USA allow to keep their nukes?

Not only that. The US has limited means to export. 110 to 200 tankers a month. Compare that to the 100 to 110 tankers a day that used to go through the straits a day.

Basically now Trump will probably pay them to stop doing this i reckon. Give them a 'good deal', whilst presenting it as some sort of capitulation by Iran.

Basically he's going to end up making Iran stronger than before the war.

Total lunacy.

The diplomatic nature of American foreign policy has been a disaster, untold damage.

US: $5/gallon rising

c = cents, 1 gallon = 3.78 liters. Do the math and place your bets who's kicking whose arze.

You can buy 200 Monopoly money bills at Walmart for $19.99, but 200 of the commonly used 100,000 Iranian Rial currency notes is now only worth $15.21.

Monopoly money is now more valuable.
