Latest paperwork for Retirement Extension at JOMTIEN (only)

Featured Replies

1) I would appreciate it if someone could post the very latest requirements (paperwork) to renew Retirement Extension at Jomtien IO only. This is for renewing personally, not using agent. Thank you.

2) I believe there is no appointment system in place for Jomtien IO anymore, so any info on the renewal procedure also appreciated.

3) Grateful for any other pertinent info that maybe relevant.

4) Just to reiterate this is for 'do it yourself' renewal..not an agent.

Thank you for any help.

Someone that deals with Jomtien hopefully will post recent experience.

Fact is nothing has changed

In recent times there is added forms that basically require signature.

Acknowledge overstay etc

The process will be same as last year

I don't have the previous list (or process from last year), which is why I am asking for a new list (and of course better to have the latest). Hope someone will come thru.

You have done extensions previously at that immigration office?

Nothing has changed.

You will be asked to sign couple of acknowledgement of overstay forms.

The most critical thing is banking docs

I appreciate your comments but they are not what I require.

Last time the extension was done for me (yes I had the required 800k), so I do not have a list of what paperwork was required, so I am trying to get a list of the required paperwork/documents as I will be doing it myself soon.

So once again hopefully someone will provide that for me.

Only change for me in March was they wanted same day bank book updated, previously day before was ok

Go to immigration in Soi 5.

I went in March.

Go into the building on the left and ask for the relevant forms plus a list of additional required documentation. They have the forms under the counter and can produce them instantly.

I went in at 1530 hrs when there was NO queue whatsoever.

Actual attendance for submitting the completed aforementioned documents is not quite so easy. As a "rule of thumb", try to attend as early in the day as possible and stay clear of the days immediately prior to, and following public holidays. Also, it tends to be quieter on Tue/Wed/Thursdays.

The people in the building on the left will "pre-scrutinise" your documents prior to giving you a queue number card which you must give to the immigration officer at number 8 counter in the main building.

When he/she has approved your application, expect to have to wait at least one day (in my case two) before reporting to counter number 9 for retrieval of your passport.

Choc dee.

On the last 2 times I was there the queue to get a queue number was horrific.. obviously going just before they close may be a good idea to get the initial list of forms but on the day expect and prepare for a long line...one bloke ( looked Japanese) even brought a mini foldable chair for the over hour long wait in the queue..at least it was a bit more bearable once the line snaked inside the air con building.
