I Iike Bass mayoralship.

Bass is the leading candidate in her re-election race, polling at 30 percent in an Emerson College poll released on Wednesday. Pratt received 22 percent support, and city councilmember Nithya Raman polled at 19 percent in the survey.

Yeah the only good part is they tend to kill each other off over deviations from the party line. Keeps the numbers down.

The primary is over, and it's between Pratt and Bass. I don't understand how anyone could vote for Bass, considering all her failures.

Plus, she has the union grift backing.

If Pratt wins it will be a miracle. The leftist machine will put all their energy into protecting Sanctuary for Serial Drug abuse,Criminals, & illegals. Their economy depends on it.

Its business as usual , 1,100,000 reside in and around LA. These arent voters but many voters rely on the business /association of residence/ jobs and their influence.

Governors should be measured by what the do to improve the economy of their state. California governors have achieved this.

California: Over $4.1 Trillion

Texas: Over $2.6 Trillion

New York: Over $2.2 Trillion

Florida: Over $1.6 Trillion

I just had to Google who the heck Spencer Pratt is........I thought he was the Captain Kirk of the last few Star Trek movies.

Total BOZO, just what we need another unqualified reality show politician.

So, only career politicians should be allowed to run for office?

This isn't a presidential election. It's a local mayoral race. The whole point of representative government is that regular citizens can step up and run if they think the current system isn't working.

You may not like Spencer Pratt and he may or may not end up being a good mayor. That's a fair, but dismissing someone simply because they didn't come up through the political establishment seems backwards.

He got involved because he's frustrated with the direction of the city and decided to do more than complain about it. Whether he can actually deliver on his promises is for voters to decide, but at least he's willing to put himself out there and try to make changes instead of just sitting on the sidelines complaining.

California had the largest economy long before Gavin became governor. Based on this fact, what is your point?

California still has the largest state economy no question about that, but that's not the same thing as saying its leadership is producing the best economic results today.

A better measure is growth, business formation, population trends and whether companies are choosing to move in or out.

In the last few years, California has lost headquarters such as Chevron, Tesla, SpaceX, X, Oracle, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Charles Schwab and others to states like Texas.

Meanwhile, Texas and Florida continue to gain residents, businesses and investment.

California's economy remains massive because of decades of accumulated wealth, technology, ports, agriculture and entertainment industries. But when major employers and residents are increasingly choosing other states, that's a sign that economic momentum may be shifting even if total GDP remains larger.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Don't forget the illegals she won't send home, the zombie druggies getting free needles and being left alone in the nice weather (to poop wherever they want) and the Blacks holding out for their reparation $$ millions the Dems have been promising for years, California's bleeding taxpayers and gaining freeloaders. Has been for years, and it's only getting worse.

But Pratt's probably going to lose. Because free stuff is so appealing to so many. Just not taxpayers...

Pratt is a longshot, but stranger things have happened. He still has to get through to the election finals without the "uncounted" votes giving him the boot.

Mayor Bass would FAR rather face the kooky socialist Raman than an angry citizen with a righteous message. Pratt is media savvy and has absolutely nothing to lose. He can steer the election in any direction he chooses. Bass has to portray him as unhinged and inexperienced. And you can bet the entire Democratic party machine will be behind her.

It will be hugely entertaining to watch!

Yep. Raman got a huge amount (42,000 votes) of post election mail in ballots to pass Pratt. Very interesting as Bass got very few of these votes. Interestingly Raman gave a weeping concession speech before this post election massive spike. Another example was 22,000 votes were counted and Pratt got zero votes from this batch. Statistically almost if not totally impossible being that Pratt was in 2nd place. BTW Raman lost her own electorate. Something very smelly about this election.
