Kim Jong Un puts nuclear Dead Man’s Switch Into NK Constitution

Kim Jong Un Builds nuclear ‘Dead Man’s Switch’ Into North Korea’s Constitution

Kim Jong Un has reportedly rewritten North Korea’s constitution to require an automatic nuclear missile strike if he is killed by a foreign power — a chilling move believed to have been triggered by the US-Israeli decapitation strike that killed Ali Khamenei.

The constitutional change, reportedly adopted earlier this year and revealed during a South Korean intelligence briefing last week, effectively creates a nuclear “dead man’s switch” designed to guarantee retaliation even if North Korea’s leadership is wiped out.

The revised Article 3 of Pyongyang’s nuclear policy law now states:

“If the command-and-control system over the state’s nuclear forces is placed in danger by hostile forces’ attacks … a nuclear strike shall be launched automatically and immediately.”

The move is widely seen as evidence that the destruction of Iran’s leadership deeply rattled the North Korean regime.

Iran Strike Sends Shockwaves Through Pyongyang

According to reports, the constitutional revision came shortly after the devastating US-Israeli strikes that eliminated large parts of Iran’s senior military and political leadership during the recent war.

Experts believe Pyongyang concluded that it could face a similar “decapitation strike” in any future conflict.

Andrei Lankov, a leading expert on North Korea, said Iran’s experience appears to have fundamentally altered the regime’s calculations.

“Iran was the wake-up call,” Lankov said.

“North Korea saw the remarkable efficiency of the US-Israeli decapitation attacks, which immediately eliminated the greater part of the Iranian leadership, and they must now be terrified.”

While Kim already exercised total authority over North Korea’s nuclear arsenal, analysts say formally embedding automatic retaliation into the constitution dramatically raises the stakes by removing ambiguity over what happens if the dictator is assassinated.

Constitution Also Redefines Korean Borders

The constitutional overhaul reportedly included other major symbolic changes.

For the first time, North Korea formally defined its territory as bordering South Korea, while also removing long-standing references to eventual Korean reunification.

The revised Article 2 now states that North Korea’s territory stretches north to China and Russia and south to South Korea, alongside associated territorial waters and airspace.

Analysts say the wording reflects a hardening of Pyongyang’s position and signals that Kim’s regime may now officially regard permanent division of the Korean Peninsula as settled policy.

Nuclear Risks Rise As Regime Tightens Control

The revelation is likely to intensify fears about the stability of nuclear command systems in authoritarian states.

Critics warn that automatic launch doctrines increase the danger of catastrophic escalation during wartime, cyberattacks or confusion following strikes on leadership infrastructure.

The constitutional change also reinforces how closely global authoritarian regimes are now studying the lessons of the Iran war — particularly the vulnerability of centralized leadership structures to precision Western military operations.

For Pyongyang, the message appears stark: if the regime falls, the missiles fly.

Got the idea from Netanyahu no doubt.

There are a lot of people who want to take a madman out...of the Trump House!

Incinerating the world isn't a winning mood. But the US and Israel sre like targeting foreign leaders.
