British Content Creator Claims Thai Soldiers Fired Near Border Zone

British content creator Kevin Smith claimed Thai soldiers fired shots near him while he was filming close to O’ Smach road on the Thailand-Cambodia border. Thai authorities said two warning shots were fired after a foreign man approached barbed wire near a restricted frontier area opposite Chong Chom in Surin province. Smith said he was on Cambodian territory and alleged that more shots were fired, while Thai military officials described the action as a standard security response. The incident comes amid heightened sensitivity along the border, with observers warning influencers against behaviour that could worsen tensions. Authorities said the measures were intended to prevent unauthorised entry and reduce the risk of escalation in the area.

CONTENT CREATOR. But did he have real evidence / viveos to prove his claims.

Seems to me this is similar to 'INFLUENCERS' convince folks to buy a product or service with unproven statements etc. Should be illegal.

A cosmetics influencer appraoched my Thai granddaughter at her uni here in Chiang Mai, offering 5% of all sales the influencer made to the female students in granddaughters faculty. G'daughter had to set up meetings / displays of the cosmetics and convince the female students to attend.

It did happen one time:

-Within a few minutes the influencer had strongly criticised the uni female uniform and promised to design a new uniform foe 1,000Baht per student.

-Next she paraded a line of cosmetics, body washes etc. One student asked 'Has this been approved?" Influencer scolded the questioner for being rude and insisted the girl who asked the question be removed and banned.

-My g'daughters mother warned her something like this could happen.

-G'daughter now realized that the influencer was not credible or honest and g'daughter removed herself from the whole scenario.

-At home g'daughter talked about it and revealed more lies and untruths spoken by the influencer to the students.

-G'daughter called the influencer and removed herself from any cfurther contact / discussions with the influencer.

ProTip: In war zones, there is shooting.
