May 18May 18 Popular Post Posts have appeared on AN from time to time about "many" businesses in Thailand putting up signs reading, "No Israelis." One post even claimed there were "hundreds" of such signs all over Thailand. Supposedly the main reason is the bad behavior of Israeli tourists, but some instances are said to be related to the war in Gaza.I am convinced "No Israelis" signs in Thai businesses are largely an urban legend. Of course, of course, I am aware a few such signs have in the past been reported and documented online and in the Thai media, but those signs proved to be short-lived reactions to the conduct of specific groups of Israeli tourists. The signs came down quickly. My questions are: What businesses have "No Israelis" signs in Thailand today? Where can such signs be seen right now, i.e., at the moment you are reading my post? Don't tell me about something that happened months or years ago; I'm asking about now. And if you know of any businesses which don't hang signs but nevertheless deny service to Israelis because of their nationality or assumed experience in the IDF, would you please name those businesses? It can be bars, hotels, restaurants, whatever. So, for those of you who believe Israelis are villainous types whether in Gaza or Thailand, here's a chance to score points for your side by proving me wrong. Just name a business of any kind in Thailand that refuses to serve Israelis. If such signs or policies exist, it can't be hard to name them. If no one can name them, that is pretty strong evidence they don't exist.I've thrown down the gauntlet. Who will pick it up?I don't want to run afoul of the board rule on too many quote boxes, but here are three to illustrate what I said about posts claiming numerous "No Israelis" signs. On 5/1/2026 at 7:39 AM, Packer said:More and more establishments have 'No Israelis' signs. Which is great. No non-Israeli would choose to be around such things while out and about or dining. On 4/24/2026 at 12:49 AM, Packer said:Do you mean Jews? They have largely been hated everywhere they spread to throughout history.Even here in Thailand there are numerous establishments putting up 'No Israelis' signs. Not likely that that's due to the behavior of Israeli Arab or Christian tourists. 🙂On 10/13/2025 at 3:11 AM, MalcolmB said:It has been going on for years in Thailand.Half of the resorts in the southern islands used to have signs out the front saying “No Israelis”

May 18May 18 I think it's a stretch, doubt you'll get hardly any genuine photographic evidence, if at all.................Nowadays Israelis, old school expats and new gen entrpreneurial visitors alike have forged out their own enclaves, areas and specialist restaurants etc. They are catered for and serviced by locals as they're generally good for business, but i would say that 95% of their tourist spend power nowadays is done in Israeli owned establishments in obviously Koh Phangan, Samui, Pai, Chiang Mai etc. Israelis naturaly have their own social media and networks anyway and the youngsters nearly always gravitate to their own which is understandable. Families and middle aged couples invariably venture afield more. Hence not much chance of seeing unwelcoming signage elsewhere anymore.............................

I could ask the same question- where in Europe can you today read such a sign?Keep in mind Western European countries have laws forbidding discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity or nationality. There's no exception to allow discrimination of Israeli tourists solely on the basis of their nationality. The gauntlet is still down. Will anyone pick it up? Edited May 18May 18 by Evil Penevil
May 18May 18 Popular Post Why are you asking AN? Get on YouTube and do it yourself instead of trying to employ others to do your work for you. Typical As was stated the bulk of Israeli do not use Thai services, but their own il/legal partnerships. When I was a backpacker decades ago I saw three signs. Two in small GH and one in a restaurant. In Goa I also saw a few in gh/ homestay and a few restaurants. This was 30+ years ago. So, you see, your ugly reputation before now well preceeded. People don't want the hassle, conflict ...to be insulted, cheated and to not support any measure of a nation that carries out genocide and threatens the world with nuclear war and the US with blackmail. And yet you fly that flag with pride. I am asking the members who believe such signs exist to give examples. I don't believe there are many such signs. May 19May 19 Since the Gaza genocide, every decent person would want to keep their distance from Israelis, whether out of caution or disgust. But a decent person would never publicly display such feelings, preferring to hide behind wise pretexts like "one shouldn't generalize."This, then, presents a clash of two moral dilemmas.

I will be very careful. My goal is not to name-and-shame, but only to ascertain if any such signs are currently on display in businesses in Thailand. I will make no judgment calls about whether "No Israelis" signs are right or wrong. As I understand it, such signs are allowed in Thailand. The question is whether any businesses in Thailand actually do have such signs. So far in this thread, there has not been a shred of evidence "No Israelis" signs hang in one single Thai business today, let alone many.
May 19May 19 All business showing (no Israeli) sign should lose licenses and be closed ,, All Jew haters should be placed in Auschwitz for a month for re-education or be moved to Afghanistan
