‘Rhiannon’s Law’ Demand After Failed Asylum Seeker Killed Young Woman

Failed asylum seeker Deng Majek

The mother of murdered 27-year-old Rhiannon Whyte is demanding sweeping new restrictions on illegal migrants after her daughter was stabbed 23 times by a failed asylum seeker who had already been rejected by two European countries.

Siobhan Whyte is now calling for mandatory electronic tagging, curfews, ID checks and health screenings for illegal migrants entering Britain — proposals that Conservatives say should become law under the name “Rhiannon’s Law.”

The campaign comes after Sudanese national Deng Chol Majek was jailed for life over the brutal October 2024 killing.

Failed In Europe — Allowed Into Britain

According to reports, Majek had previously failed asylum claims in both Germany and Italy before being allowed to remain in the UK, where he was housed in asylum accommodation.

Prosecutors said he identified Rhiannon as a target while she worked at the hotel where he was staying.

After the murder, CCTV reportedly captured Majek dancing and laughing, showing what the court described as a complete lack of remorse. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 29 years.

Conservatives Push ‘Rhiannon’s Law’

Chris Philp, the Conservative shadow home secretary, has written to Shabana Mahmood urging the Government to introduce tougher controls on illegal migrants housed in hotels and HMOs.

The proposed measures include:

  • Electronic tagging

  • Mandatory curfews

  • Criminal background checks

  • Medical screening

  • Faster deportations

Philp argued the ideas came directly from a grieving mother “who has had direct and tragic experience of the consequences of uncontrolled illegal immigration.”

The Conservatives are also reviving calls for rapid deportations of illegal arrivals within days of entering Britain.

‘Where Are Our Human Rights?’

In emotional comments, Siobhan Whyte questioned why someone refused asylum elsewhere in Europe had been allowed into the UK at all.

“Why was he denied asylum but allowed here?” she asked. “Surely that should have been looked into?”

She also attacked what she sees as political double standards over immigration and public safety.

“Where’s our human rights?” she said. “You’ve got the Left saying they’ve got these rights, they’ve got this, they’ve got that. But would they have them in their home? Around their daughters? No.”

While demanding far tougher controls on illegal migration, she stressed she was not criticising lawful immigration.

“I haven’t got anything against migrants that come over legally,” she said. “It is these men that are doing these crimes that need to be stopped.”

Immigration Debate Intensifies

The case has become another flashpoint in Britain’s increasingly bitter migration debate, with pressure mounting on the Government over Channel crossings, asylum hotels and public safety concerns.

Nigel Farage and Reform UK have continued pushing for dramatically tougher border enforcement, while Conservatives are attempting to reclaim ground on immigration after heavy electoral losses.

Critics of the proposed measures argue blanket tagging and curfews risk breaching civil liberties and international refugee obligations. Supporters counter that public protection must come first when individuals enter the country illegally or disappear into the asylum system.

For Siobhan Whyte, however, the issue is no longer political.

She says her daughter’s murder handed her a “life sentence” of grief — and she wants Britain’s immigration system changed before another family suffers the same fate.

All illegal immigrants should be detained treated as criminals and not be allowed to roam freely. If asylum rejected deported immediately to their country of origin even if a war zone.

Well the Brits like most of western european nations are allowing all the misery of the world to illegaly enter and live off the system. Entire western europe is going to the dogs as they say.

But look at places like Italy where the far right of Meloni is in power. They gave big speeches and propaganda that they were going to fight the illegals.

But what happened ? They piped down and backed off due to the blackmail from the European Union and Brusels, who refused to give them the multi billion dollar annual allowance if Italy tightened it's laws. Not to mention that the italian mafia is in league with all the human trafickers who supply illegals that run most of the agriculture and restaurants in Italy. That's the hypocrisy of the far right within the European Union. And look at Spain. They give permits to 500'000 illegals knowing fully well that these fine people would then be free to roam all over Europe. Check for yourself if you do not belive all this...

To bad you won't be able to move home, eh?

Violence is violence, doesn't matter a whit who commits it.

Even a 6 year old knows the difference between 'too' and 'to'. You fail, now back to India with you.
