Anything better than a beautiful British summers day ?

I am in London for a few weeks, and i have to say nothing quite beats a beautiful summer period in the UK. The weather is perfect, no humidity or sticky feeling we have in Thailand. A lovely cold pint. The banter with fellow Brits (football, etc), the jokes, the beautiful women and banter that is not just transactional, the food is worldclass, Just perfect landscape to look out upon be it the city, or in rural areas.

Went to a festival yesterday, today had the opportunity to go to watch Crystal Palace v Arsenal (decided to stay in the pub). Got tickets for Wimbledon sorted. Going to watch a T20 cricket match tomorrow.

The women are absolutely beautiful did i mention that?

So much to do, you really miss this place when you are far from it.

The UK is being falsely attacked by influencers with the whole - leave the UK and go to Thailand or Dubai type nonsense. True winters can be miserable, but when you have beautiful weather, all this entertainment, the banter and the people, a nice old pint nothing can beat it anywhere in the world (and i have travelled the world).

What surprises me and how much i miss it, is there no racism anywhere. You would be fooled to think of all the miserable racist Brits i see in Thailand that the UK would be similar, but it's just not the case, everyone by and large is mixed up and getting along ! The food from around the world cannot be beaten. The Indian food is worldclass (nothing like it in Thailand), hell even the Thai food here is better than Thailand ! Beautiful Sunday Roast dinners !

Cheers !

Which is why I always go to Thailand in Jan or Feb for a couple of months 😊

Summer doesn't actually start until next month, still spring. Wasn't it 34 degrees to day which is an all time record for Britain in May. A week and a half ago the weather was coming from the Arctic and it was bl00dy cold. I had my central heating on.

Thanks alot Donnie..........feeling homesick now.....

Summer in the UK officially starts on June 21. Even the British in Benidorm know this.

And me!

Yes, a beautiful Thailand summers day!

No England during Springtime and Summer the finest country on the planet. 👍

Don't they refer to it as Londinistan now?

Also in London for the next week; weather is amazing.

Not seen one stabbing, one street blocked for prayers, or one phone snatched.

Only hassle is from moronic, white, football fans and Brits who think it is totally acceptable to strip off to the waist and sit in bars and restaurants half naked (only seen one with a six pack).

Not quite comparable...

It was 34 Degrees C in area's of the UK yesterday..... Its 34 Degrees C in Bangkok right now... I'm perfectly comfortable because I'm sat here with the AC on - thats not possible as most of the UK doesn't have AC.

So your 'must of have never been to Thailand' comment presents a logical flaw.

The UK doesn't have the humidity of Thailand during the heatwaves. If you are around London, the coast, or rivers you also get a lovely breeze.

Nothing beats London during this time.

Of course something the UK doesn't have is swarms of mosquitos so nothing better on a hot evening than finding a pub with a nice garden for an out door drink. In Thailand at dusk it is head indoors or smother yourself with smelly chemicals or immerse yourself in the smoke from those spiral things. Apart from that then evenings in Thailand are quite pleasant.

Don't forget sitting out outdoors will give you a nice dose of vehicle emissions in Thailand.

Air is so clean in London.
