If I scroll through those types of threads and block every member that posts in them then hopefully that will reduce the clutter when I click the unread content button.

Pauline is a dab hand at knocking up a bag of fish and chips, I believe. At least she is one politician who can do more than spout brown stuff, like some contributors on this forum.😉

The topics will still appear, only the content itself posted by the specific people you block won't be visible to you. So you could end up seeing topics without much visible text posted in them. I don't think that's the solution you are really looking for though.

I presume you are welcome to skip political threads — that method has been been quite succesful for me to avoid more Trump-stuff than I see in the news — I use same method on Facebook, where some friends share a lot of political stuff, mainly about Trump and my home country's PM, both pro and negative...

President Lincoln had a plan for the blacks brought into the United States for slavery after the Civil War ended. But the plan was never initiated. Had his plan gone into effect, the United States would be a much different nation now.

Oh there's no need to be anti political!!

There's the related issue that in almost every thread, whatever the original subject, someone mentions the T-word and the thread becomes a political debate.

It could be a thread about solar power or farming, and eventually the politics kicks off.

I think it's a symptom of the highly polarised political situation in many of our home countries, but the analogy should be - you buy a house next to another nice house, and a pig farmer moves next door.

Maybe any Trump/Starmer/Albanese etc comments in threads outside of the Politics thread should be deleted by the Mods as OT?
