The cover I have is not available to the public. Several insurance companies contract with the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to provide health insurance to Federal Employees.

The one I chose also provides coverage the world over. After 30 years with a Cabinet level Department, I carried it over into retirement. OPM pays 75% of the monthly premium and 25% of it is deducted from my monthly pension.

    I (my insurance) paid 1.2M over 10 years ago for a triple bypass at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. Not a cheap hospital for sure but I'd think 840k wouldn't go far anywhere these days.
