Passports (along with nationality) can be rescinded. Unless the guy was born in Sweden, he's on permanent probation. As he should be...

Perhaps the INDIAN GUY will turn the other cheek.

If Noel Akdemir is still listening....

I have only one thing to say to you, Sir.......

Al Allah Akbar.....!!!!!

Such a culture clash as this will go down in history.

Note: This altercation cracks me up. Sometimes, life is just so absurd.

Note2: Thankfully, I cannot imagine myself doing something like this in....about....ONE MILLION YEARS.....

Holy curry! What happened?

Too much spice, and not enough sense.

When has Sweden rescinded passports? There is a stark difference between your imagined world and reality. If your claim was accurate, Thailand would not be hosting multiple violent Swedish nationals. The most blatant example are the motorcycle gang thugs who have bars and traffic in drugs and sex workers.

Give Sweden time.... They finally snapped to the facts.

“Gang criminals who terrorise our streets and public spaces should no longer be able to use a Swedish passport to travel freely or evade deportation after committing serious crimes,” said Migration Minister Johan Forssell.

Police data cited by the government indicates that around 1,100 individuals involved in criminal networks in Sweden hold dual nationality.

Of course, their lefties are suffering from suicidal empathy.

The Left Party and the Greens are staunchly against the idea, fearing it could be seen as ‘intolerant’.

Another dual Nationality offender Bringing his adopted country, Sweden, into disrepute

This happens a lot with dual Nationality 'British' offenders.

They travel on their British passport, so are reported as as British.

Are you saying that he is not Swedish because he is ethnically Turkish? The man has a Swedish Passport, which means that he is a Swedish national according to the Swedish government since they made the rules. If he entered Thailand he had a passport that was issued by Sweden and also in accordance with EU laws on granting passports to people with legal histories.

I didn't say he was Turkish, but it doesn't matter; he could be Turkish, Arab, or whatever. He or his parents have been welcomed to Sweden and graciously granted Swedish nationality and a passport. So, he is not a native Swedish man.It is the same for my wife, actually. But when I say that she is Swedish, she says, 'No, I'm Thai.'Anyway, what did Sweden get from this man other than problems? He had problems with the law in Sweden and apparently now has problems with the law in Thailand. Now, the Swedish Embassy needs to help him in some way. He is a true disgrace to Sweden and the Swedish people.

You think Mr Akdemir is a real Swede?

If he has a Swedish passport, pretty much yes. THe problem goes beyond allowing him residence of Sweden, it is also giving him a passport so he can travel out and sully the name of his adopted country.

There should be some lengthy probation period whereby his Swedish residence can be revoked.

An Indian hotel owner that will give the BIB's something to think about. I can't even own my house on a moderate piece of land, so I put it in my wifes name.

Rescinding passports and deport people to their home country is actually something the Swedish government is considering at the moment. If you don't behave, you're out.

I don't think it will happen. Canada tried to rescind citizenship for violent offenders. it was stopped in the courts. The next administration that came to power reversed the regulation. The same thing will happen in Sweden. The Swedish people who are not living the nightmare that is Malmo or subject to the harassment by aggressive beggars that I experienced in Stockholm will say we must be compassionate. People living in towns like Haparanda or Vansbro don't come into contact with these people so they are living in blissful innocent ignorance and are all for open borders.

Also, Sweden is a signatory to the European Human rights Convention and subject to the European Human rights Court. Look at what happened to the UK when it tried to deport bogus migrants. Rule 3 and Rule 39 were used to block the UK's deportation of violent serial criminals. Rapists and murderers were allowed to remain. Multiple human rights activists, including those with Swedish affiliates brought action to prevent removals and stripping of citizenship documentation.

I linked above to a couple of articles about that. The most telling thing is that their lefties oppose the idea of rescinding passports of foreign born criminals because it may make them look intolerant.

From the article: The Left Party and the Greens are staunchly against the idea, fearing it could be seen as ‘intolerant’.

That is truly suicidal empathy, obvious to anyone who has followed the trajectory of Sweden's immigrant problems.

A Swedish tourist, Noel Akdemir, surrendered to Phuket police after assaulting an Indian man, identified as Bahrat Kumawat, outside the Patong Platinum Hotel. The altercation stemmed from a dispute over allegedly stolen money, escalating to a physical confrontation caught on surveillance footage. Kumawat, who is reportedly the hotel owner, filed a police complaint following the incident.

The confrontation occurred on May 18, with Akdemir allegedly reacting violently after accusing hotel staff of stealing 6,000 baht. Video evidence shows the Swedish national arguing with Kumawat and later slapping another Indian man before attempting to flee. Akdemir has since acknowledged the assault and apologized, citing frustration over the missing money as the cause of his behavior.

Both parties have filed legal complaints, with Kumawat seeking justice for the assault, and Akdemir making a counter-complaint regarding the theft. Police have accepted the reports, and further discussions between those involved are scheduled. The outcomes of these talks and potential legal actions remain pending.
