It’s strange that the police don’t see anything illegal in what happened. Tourist areas have long started to look like war zones — Pattaya, Patong in Phuket — places that are better to avoid at night.

Nothing good happens after midnight in most places in the world. But on Beach Road/Bali Hai in Pattaya it's after 9pm.

You mean all that trouble and then all that paperwork just as shift's about to end?

It was 5am.

Pattaya the family friendly place.

The police viewing videos of the incident they could see the illegalities that were happening but they couldn't do anything about it as they weren't there to witness it and it wasn't, subsequently, reported to them. Thai law requires a report to be made before the police can investigate the offences seen in this thread.

The woman who disappeared under the car was stamping on the guy on the ground seconds earlier. No more agro from her?

I thought it was a Thai woman stamping on another woman already on the ground. Need to watch again.

Off topic a bit...but,

My Dad ( Aussie) used to refer to the "ground" as the "deck" and to knock a person out so they fell to the ground was to "deck" them as they 'hit the deck'

Probably came from his 5 years in the Navy in WW2.

Decking somebody is a very British expression.

What a load of nonsense people thinking this type of behavior will stop once immigration reverts back to 30 days.Don't know what they have been drinking and smoking but no common sense there in that comment.

It's called humour (translated to humor for your convenience in case you're from the US), but of course there's no way you could have known that.

It really does appear that the tourist zones of Phuket and Pattaya have declined to the point of barely being recognizable from what they once were.

And it's insatiable quest for higher tourist numbers Thailand has invited in a lot of dregs, and a lot of criminals, and a lot of people who are just hyped up on adrenaline and drugs.

The number one rule for many of us here is you just never get into a fight with Thai people. If you win the fight you lose, and if you lose the fight you lose. And no matter how it turns out it will normally lead to all kinds of trouble.

Let's figure out a way to get rid of the loser brigade.

At least they've addressed this kind of issue once and for all, as soon as the 60 day visa free entry reverts back to 30 days all these incidents will stop 🙄

Yes! In total agreement. I can't believe so many people here think that reverting to the 30-day visa-exempt won't make any difference.

It's like those who need emojis to tell them when someone's taking the piss.

Collateral Alcohol Damage at 5 am ... By the title , I was expecting a real clash of Titans , like a a 100 people involved ... boring .

In most cases where Foreigners are involved with violence at silly O’clock in the morning it is nearly always linked to:

(a) Lack of Tolerance for Alcohol due to it being illegal in the home countries!

(b) A mixture of Alcohol and/or some other substance that causes low IQ people to behave like the idiots they really are!

But that's just my opinion and it has not scientific evidence to back it up, just observation over many years!

I now if I have a bit too much to drink then I either stop drinking or start eating, or better yet, go home and start sleeping!

The driver of the black car was not a Thai, as the article clearly reported.

Sorry I don't see that. Please show me,

I go to a couple of places (eg. Homepro) where it's angled parking and 99% pull in front first.

Just can't handle the complexity of trying to reverse in, let alone pull out and have to turn right from pointing in the wrong direction!!!😂

More places should have angled parking spaces.

One and the same. The driver who took her to hospital was the one who was driving the car that ran over her and was her boyfriend.
