I’ve no idea what you are talking about in terms of the UK, but in respect of this lady my money would be on her taking illegal drugs rather a mental breakdown. Unless the latter was caused by the former.

No evidence, just my own speculation and a personal belief that there are far more people taking illegal drugs in Phuket than there are having mental breakdowns caused by a medical condition. Hence more likely her behavior is the result of illegal drugs consumption because it’s a larger group of people.
