Chinese Tourists Brawl Outside Pattaya Restaurant

Featured Replies

Police in Pattaya responded to reports of a violent altercation, on 11 June 2026 at around 03:20, involving Chinese tourists outside a pork barbecue restaurant in Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 3, Pattaya. Officers from Pattaya City Police Station Sector 3 arrived to find a crowd of onlookers and two groups of Chinese nationals engaged in a heated confrontation that had escalated into physical fighting. Police intervened to separate the parties and restore order, preventing further escalation.

Initial reports indicated that two groups of Chinese tourists, some of whom were said to have prior disputes in China, encountered each other at the venue shortly after arriving in Pattaya for a 2–3 day visit, according to a Thai female companion.

Verbal exchanges reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation outside the restaurant. Another account linked the clash to alcohol consumption among friends who were already acquainted prior to the incident. Initial police accounts stated that three Chinese nationals were injured.

Officers from Pattaya City Police Station and local rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation provided first aid and transported injured individuals to hospital for treatment. Police separated the groups, moving them to opposite sides of the road, as tensions continued with shouting and verbal provocation in Chinese.

Both groups were later taken to the police station for questioning and formal statements, while officers secured the area and managed public order as crowds gathered at the scene. Authorities also confirmed that CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed as part of the investigation, and the parties were later reported to have calmed down and reached an understanding, with no immediate intention to pursue charges.

Investigators are continuing to record statements from all involved individuals and will revisit the case once medical treatment has been completed, to establish a clear sequence of events. The findings from CCTV analysis and witness accounts will be used to determine whether any criminal proceedings will follow under Thai law.

Them lowly Triads soldiers always fighting over little stuff!🤣

Chinese are becoming more like Americans every day sigh

Nothing good comes from eating barbecue pork.

It is getting to the point where most of us are numb to Pattaya related crimes perpetuated upon tourists. It is so commonplace. Pattaya seems to be #1.

Alcohol consumption among friends and not Aussies? Flabbergasted 😅

Brings back memories of the Boxer Rebellion.

Why do people fight when they should be having fun?

Might as well just stay at home, back in China, and fight.

Waste of air fare.

And, one risks a ban from Thailand when public brawling happens.

Americans? don't you mean Russians or Brits? They fight way more than we do!

Just think that all the Hotties who missed out on those hot chinese dudes.....who decided to fight.

We don’t need these kind of people here. Deport them. I don’t care if they don’t press charges against each other. Thailand shouldn’t allow or accept this behavior.

The rudest people I have encountered in Thailand are from China. The Chinese lack social graces and do not understand the concept of waiting in line, etc.

3 am...drunk? What could go wrong?

I have a Chinese friend and she said the problem is that early tourists from China were usually ones who'd worked in, or maybe were educated in western countries and had adjusted to their way of behaving, in general. Obviously not all westerners are the same.

Now more Chinese are coming who have grown up in China with its nationalistic outlook and haven't experienced other countries, or their customs.

A bit of a broad view but there may be some truth in it.

I would argue that the Russians I have met in Thailand are the rudest, the Chinese are number two, and the Israelis are number three. Pure arrogance.

They wouldnt dare do this in China. These lowlife from the village give city folks a bad name.
