This whole episode is why the legal possession of firearms should be legal for home defence... especialy with the increase in domestic and foreign chancers and perps commiting awful crimes to people who can't defend themsleves... only going to get worse with more encouraged perps and oxygen thieves that don't fear the consequences because the laws are very anti-victim. People should be allowed to defend their property and stand their ground.

Most western societies forget that the the right to property and the protection of it is a fundimental right to society and civilization and without it nothing works... without it, then there is no point in doing anything to better the society, personal situation, or the country. Why bother paying taxes, saving, playing the game, doing what the government wants, building community etc. if some grifter oxygen thief can just turn up and take it away with little consequences... well, none at all. You should be allowed to defend you property from scumbags.

History shows us, something the Americans can learn from, that security built on widespread gun access often ends up putting more people at risk, not fewer.
