The medical examiner already did the autopsy. An aortic dissection was found. In effect his aorta tore. The ME found arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. This is a common cause of death and not unusual.

Maybe a safe choice? Don't know much about her except their parents died when the Senator was in college and she was 13. The Senator became her guardian and raised her.

Dead people are easy targets for unsubstantiated attacks.. I was taught not to speak ill of the deceased. The man Graham replaced was the legendary Strom Thurmond. Thurmond was a proud segregationist and allegedly a member of the KKK ( some say "he was not a formal member"???). Anyway Thurmond died as a hero of South Carolina. Meanwhile many on social media are actually celebrating Grahams's death. Where was this "influencer or whatever this person claims to be while Graham was alive?. Not a fan of the late Senator Graham but he served in the Senate since 2003, served for 30 years in the US Air Force, Air Force reserve and Air National Guard. Also, he raised his teenage sister after his parents died while he was in college. So the mission of some is to tarnish Graham's legacy? If so then what does this accomplish?

Ok, something positive about the late Miz Lindsey:

Go back to 2015. Some may recall there were so many GOP punters in the primary they couldn't do a debate that included all of them, so they came up with an idea to split into two debates, the main event for the frontrunners and the second for those with low poll numbers. Some pundits dubbed the lesser "happy hour" or "kiddie table."

Graham never got out of single digits, so he was in the also ran debate.

When he got his chance to speak he went into jokes, some self-deprecating, about what an f-up of a student he was, e.g. the debates were in the Reagan library, and he quipped that the two hours he spent there that day was most time he ever spent in a library in his entire life. The crowd cracked up and he kept at it.

Then came the real debate, and DT took the stage and did a Don Rickles on all the other candidates on stage one by one. No one else made such comments, I guess they were all trying to appear presidential.

IMO if Lindsey was in that bunch he would have slammed back at DT, and who knows, DT could have run off with his tail between his legs and the history of the US would have been very different these past ten years.

Those two were in a much different era and on a whole different level than a deceased senator from South Carolina. Hoover was FBI director for over 40 years. FBI director has actual power to ruin lives.

MAGA Republicans have incessantly jumped on fringe Democrats who spoke of "defunding the police", but virtually EVERY Republican---not some fringe minority of them---has ignored 6 January 2021 and the beating and bear spraying of 140 police officers. Similarly none reacted negatively to Trump's pardon of the convicted criminals. (Note former officer Michael Fanone's Tweet in BLM's post above re Graham)

In reality, Republicans absolutely couldn't care less about police officers. Beat them, beat spray them---all because Trump called his goobers to DC for the 6th, and then told them specifically to march to the Capitol, knowing full well they would be violent (if Trump didn't know, MAGAs will have to admit he's an idiot)---it's all okay in today's Republican Party. In fact, beat cops, bear spray them, threaten to hang the Vice President, and you might receive $millions in compensation for your crime.

The ONLY thing that got in the way of paying criminals for assaulting cops was a US District Judge, who struck down Trump's self-dealing lawsuit/settlement of his IRS issue. Republican's are spineless cowardly sycophants, who go along with Trump, his lies, his fomenting of violence, his abject corruption, etc., all because they fear a mean Tweet or being "primaried".

So who cares for police officers? It wasn't Graham and it isn't Trump or any Republican. Hypocrites one and all.
