Hegseth Announces Low Testosterone Tests for US Troops

Not a bad idea given that troops need to be fit, able and willing to fight for their country.

War is largely a video game now. It's not Thermopylae or Hastings.

The fat kid playing video games is "fit" enough to be a modern day warrior.

The only thing a full tank of testosterone is good for in the military today is for shore leave or R&R.

That would be good satire about Hegseth but it's real.

Is anyone noticing how RFK jr looks so young and spry on testosterone injections?

Hegseth thinking about other men’s testosterone levels. Am I the only one seeing it?

To answer your question: yes

But why did you post a picture of a baseball glove?

He's very tanned.

Does he spend a lot of time in Florida or what?

He's definitely outdoors a lot.

It looks odd being tanned for a typical politician who must spend most of their time indoors.

His Vitamin D levels are probably healthier than most other politicians.

Tell that to those fighting in Ukraine.

After last night's performance may I suggest these tests for the England football team...555

Some people should have their testosterone LOWERED.

I agree but with Pete I doubt that he has any testosterone. He does a lot of chest thumping but he's hardly a man, and he would likely wet his pants if faced with real danger. He's a coward who likes to talk big and then put other people in harm's way.

But he sounds like a constipated harbor seal and he’s a straight up quack!anyway on topic this Hegseth is really creeping me out….perhaps he would be better served to figure out a way to act like a real competent secretary of WAR and grow a pair by standing up to his lord and master…..you know the one that wears makeup and is a kiddie diddler…….

Correction. From whom does the US need defending?

Wow, all these "experts" here who know zero about building muscle, endurance and recovery. It has been documented that the average testosterone levels in 30 year old men today is half that of 60 year old men 50 years ago. I took up the gym life when I turned 60 and in my slightly obsessive way I have taken a much deeper dive into Performance Enhancing Drugs as well as supplements and peptides. I have seen the results other people have gotten with these.

Personally, I am on TRT which has brought my testosterone levels up ton the high end of normal. I am not on a huge dose to bring my levels up to suoranormal, unlike some bodybuilders and other athletes.

However....

While the beneficial effects of testosterone are rarely disputed and widely publicized, there is a paucity of the literature on the risks of testosterone use. Any man who has a comorbidity that precludes TRT should be informed of all risks. Factors such as exacerbation of prostate cancer, male breast cancer, worsening benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), polycythemia and an increased risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) should be considered when administering TRT to a patient. The goal of this review is to highlight the risks and summarize the current literature on safety of TRT.

Wow, that is really out of date. It has been shown that testosterone does not cause prostate cancer. It is also cardioprotective.

I have watched the demonization of testosterone and all things masculine for over 50 years.
