Suggestions for a few nights stopover in KL

Featured Replies

In late October my wife and I will fly BKK to Perth, I'm planning on going with Batik Air or AA and breaking the journey at KL for about 4-5 nights.

I'm considering staying in the Brickfields area because I think that area will be most interesting, plus we both enjoy Indian food. So I'm open to any recommendations for a mid-price range hotel, preferably close to the public transport so we can easily get around and see things. We're not interested in anything upmarket, or nightlife, bars, clubs, I'm happy enough just having a cold beer in an open-front restaurant or a night market.

Any tips, recommendations, advice is most welcome.
