Do you consider colored bedsheets decadent and lower-class?

Also, in most hotels, the sheets are white.

Tip of the day:-

Coming "home" after a long sweaty run do not sit naked on the edge of a hotel bed.

WTF - how on earth does the colour of the bed sheets affect you when your eyes are closed and the lights are off? This is just another bonkers topic from someone with mental health issues.

Such a though provoking problem , that I have never ever considered , maybe because I have so many other things to do , you need a hobby Gamma, or a girlfriend . regards worgeordie

Sometime, I want to look into some linen sheets, just for a change.

Look out of them instead.

I can't believe people are arguing over the color of sheets.

Simply wear the white(s) one to your next klan meeting. 👻

Work permit needed!! And it's not a flippant remark. I narrowly avoided an immigration raid a few years ago on Phangan Island where I was teaching Thai and English to the Burmese migrant kids. My fellow Burmese teacher (fully-qualified teacher etc) got a week in a Thai jail...

SoutheastAsians & Pacific Islanders

I did volunteer english teaching for 6 years up north at a public high school and never had a problem...never worried about it and the head person of school said no worries and she was correct. I was invited to attend every event of the school and treated like a vip. I did certainly go out of my way to behave properly and help out when I was asked. Wonderful experience and I would like to think that i did at least help some thai kids learn a bit more english and give them the confidence to try it out on me. Yes i understand re work permits but as said my experience was positive.

I recently got some Egyptian cotton duvet covers and pillow cases in various designs off eBay and so managed to turn a cheap-ass supermarket duvet into a thing of luxury.

This is why I NEVER shop at IKEA, and would never shop there for bed sheets.

Beds

What kind of an individual uses IKEA products for....ANYTHING, is what I often wonder.

Maybe someone furnishing a doll house?

IKEA Thailand does not offer flat sheets in all cotton.

They only have these on offer, fitted sheets.

I think the quality might also be suspect.

I will need to buy from China.

Robinson does have all cotton sheets that are quite decent.

But, the pricing is through the roof.

They must consider bed sheets to be a luxury item, or something.

Beds

Experienced, smart shoppers know to shop the strengths of a store and ignore everything else. For IKEA, I shop their very good rug selection. I've probably bought at least a couple dozen or more of their Lohals sisal rugs. They are good quality, come in a number of sizes, have a nice neutral color, and are reasonably priced. In Thailand, rugs like this can be hard to find, especially in larger sizes, except perhaps on-line, and I like to see and feel a product like this in person to judge the quality. We just ordered two more of the 200 by 300 cm size for a house we are putting on the market for sale. Sisal rugs give an instant upscale look to a room, while softening all the hard tile, without breaking the bank.

IKEA is also good for housewares and kitchen stuff, as well as having a big selection of storage products. We like a small stainless steel waste container that looks attractive enough to keep out on the kitchen counter and functions well. We also buy flatware sets from IKEA as they have a good selection and price range and their sets come with table knives--some sets you see here in Thailand only come with forks and spoons.

IKEA also has a good selection of picture frames, in a variety of styles and sizes. They carry large poster-size frames, too, which are also sometimes hard to find at other stores. We used several of them in the house I just mentioned--classic black frame and white matt--the framed art looks fresh and terrific.

We skip most of the furniture at IKEA except their big selection of storage ottomans. These, again, are hard to find in Thailand. Places like Index mostly have much smaller foot stools. These big, rectangular IKEA ottomans are great to use as a coffee table, with a decorative tray on top. The covers come off for cleaning and come in a number of fabrics and colors. Plus, the added benefit of all the storage--great for things like Christmas decorations. I, for one, am very happy to have IKEA in nearby Bangkok.

Rugs?

Not for your head, surely.

Floor rugs, or throw rugs as we used to call them, are hard to find and way overpriced here in Thailand.

Even on Lazada, all you see is garbage rugs.

In Thailand, and in Taiwan, nobody knows anything about wall-to-wall carpeting for the home.

Still, if one has beautiful wood flooring, then some sort of carpet from Pakistan might be in order.

I would never buy white carpeting or white rugs, only white sheets.

We have several colors and patterns available to which I pay zero attention. Whatever makes her happy.

Why is it, do you think, that you have zero interest in interior design, meaning interior decoration?

A well-decorated home is a happy home is a refrain I often hear.

In this case, you should often compliment her efforts, rather than, as you put it, "paying zero attention".

I am beginning to suspect that your union may not be quite as blissful at you seem to believe.

Remember, it takes two partners to create a happy home.

And, when I said TWO Partners, this is just exactly what I meant to say.

I said what I meant, and I meant what I said.

Here is what I meant by TWO PARTNERS.....

Natalie.....

I have ALWAYS loved you......

Let me ask you:

Do you REALLY think that I am the ONLY one, besides Woody, here on TV, who does not suffer from angst?

As you know, I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood.

Does this make me almost unique on TV?
