Idea For Getting Visa In Home Country

Featured Replies

i have an idea

what do you know/think about this?

get a note from a language school in bkk that says i volunteer or might work there or something like that

and then get a long stay visa, maybe b, from the usa

i could apply for a retirement visa in the usa but still weighing all the options so i can come back and still look for work

(or maybe get an ed/student visa or a mult entry tourist)

i have been reading this forum for months and my head is spinning as to what is the best route

i might prepare for as many possible scenerios at the new york consulate and see what they are willing to give me

wash dc is an option but new york is much easier for me

does anyyone have any experince with the nyc embassay???

all feedback regarding any and all of these matters is appreciated

thanks

A "note" will not suffice. It needs to be a firm offer of employment.

You will then get a single entry B visa.

To extend that in Thailand you will need a work permit, which

will entail showing your degree and TEFL certificates........

This is by far your best option, assuming you are over 50.

Forget about working, and enjoy life. :o

If you pay for a TEFL course from Text-And-Talk, they'll arrange to get you a one-year (90-days at a time) Non-Imm B visa.

IMHO, it's worth the cost of the course by itself.

FYI, they go through the Dallas Consulate.
